Hi Pam, hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and have survived all this snow!  Down here in Monument we have gotten a ton of snow and that is partly the problem that I write you about…I had let Riley go a little longer without the groomer because it was a busy holiday time and he just looked so darn cute.  Well, my big mistake was not staying on top of the matting that was developing because he was wet from snow so much.  I took him to the groomers yesterday and was told he would have to be trimmed pretty close…well, what the heck, Riley is so cute he’ll be fine…WRONG!!!!  My poor little guy now looks like a Jack Russell terrier with a poofy tail!   His hair grows so fast that he’ll be okay soon (I HOPE!) but the lesson to all She-Chon owners is to groom the little guys regularly.  I will now work a daily brushing into our schedule because I don’t want to have to go through this again.   Thought you’d like to know and can pass this info on, especially to new “parents”.  Other than this Riley is doing just great, the love of our lives, and now he has his own “bad haircut story”…Julie Stine

Hi, just wanted to send you some recent pics of Max (formerly Raphael) and Elizabeth. Max is getting along wonderfully, we have him enrolled at the Dumb Friends League puppy class on Sundays and next month he will start in the petite dog classes. He's a very quick learner and everyone loves his sweet disposition. Elizabeth can't wait until the picnic this Summer, she is always asking how many more days until the "puppy picinic". We will definitely see you there. Thanks, Joe

  Hi Pam,

Just wanted to let you know that our new puppy, "Owen", is doing really well and our whole family has fallen in love with him.  He relaxed right away and ate his dinner in our car at the airport.  He got to know the children quickly and had a fun time playing with them only minutes after arriving at our home.  Of course they each had a present for him, a fleece teddy bear, a rope toy and a bone.  They got him to try out his crate over the first few hours and he ended up sleeping in it all night with the door closed and no crying.  My daughter slept in her sleeping bag right beside him.  He has had very few accidents and seems to be getting the wee-wee pad idea.  He ate a good breakfast, although he decided to get his food from the bowl and then chew it on my son's lap.  I don't think he likes the cold kitchen floor.  We're going to the vet tomorrow.  He is an amazingly cuddly little boy and he loves to be held and pet.  My children, my husband and I are absolutely thrilled.  My daughter has explained to Owen that she is his new Mommy and she hasn't left him alone for more than a few minutes since he arrived.  We are so happy, we can't wait to show him off to our family and neighbors.  Thanks for raising such a special little boy.  We'll send pictures later today.  Take care.

Sincerely,
The Capone Family

Pam and Sherry,

Thanks so much for having Sophie - she is a doll!  She is using her potty pads about 98% of the time now... we started official puppy training at the house today with a very nice young lady.  She seems experienced and knowledgable.  Sophie sleeps through the night, plays after eating and always wants to be in on the action.  My cat is not adjusted to her yet, but she is coming around slowly.  Sophie loves her toys and she loves everyone who walks through the door!  She loves to lay on her back and get her belly rubbed.  The second day at our place she was climbing up the stairs and by the 5th day she was working her way down!  She is a go-getter.  She has had a couple of baths - she tries to escape, but she takes it - she is most happy once she is dry and free to play!  She loves to tare around and do the bichon-blitz!  She adjusted to her collar after a day or two - we now take it off at night and put it on just before breakfast. :)  She also likes riding in the car with me - I made a special wire kennel carrier for her to ride in the car with me - it is a Midwest small kennel lined with a folded over mattress pad - sewn to the inside for protection and placed in a vertical position - it has a side door that opens facing me so I can pet her along the way... it also has a lixit bottle, a metal food bin and a set of crate pockets on the outside for her travelling goodies... she is a true princess. I love her!  My husband loves her too!  He plays with her everyday - I think his cholesterol will go down naturally just by having her - she is a stress reliever.

Thanks again.  See you soon.

  Hi guys,

This is Jaya Krutulis and I bought Tank from you two weeks ago. His new name is Taj and he is the best puppy in the world. He loves his new home down here in Miami but excited that he gets to come every break back to Colorado. What a life he lives. He is soooo wonderful and I get compliments all the time about him. Thank you so much! Attached are some pics to him!               Jaya Krutulis

Hi Pam,
We love our Bella! She is 5 1/2 months old now and weighs about 8 pounds.

She has been on 2 plane trips so far and travels very well. As you know, she comes to work with us every day and is quite the social butterfly. Our customers come to our store just visit Bella. She also has many dog friends - our customers bring their dogs to visit her.  She raked it in at Christmas time, at least daily for about a week and a half a different customer brought her a Christmas present. She was potty trained in less than 1 week - no accidents!  She uses a litter pan (no litter) with a pee pee pad. If she goes potty and I'm too busy to notice - she will scratch on my leg or dance on her hind legs untill I go see what she did, and of course give her her treat! She is the star of the show.  After our Shelby went to doggie heaven I didn't think I would ever have another dog again. I'm so glad Bella is our lives, she brings us so much joy! Thank you so much for this beautiful baby. Attached are some pictures.

                                                                   Again Thanks,

I attached a picture of  Tono in his party hat.  I am using it for our invitations to a party we are having to celebrate the Chinese "Year of the Dog" on January 29th. Tono is doing great.  He is totally potty trained...I got him a PetaPotty and he loves it.  We have not had ONE accident since it arrived.  He is doing well in obedience class also.  We will  be flying to Las Vegas to visit my kids for two weeks in March so we are training in our Sherpa Bag.

My best to you, and thanks again.  Margaret  1-20-06

   Dear Pam,
Happy New Year from me, Liliane Gilbert, and Mimi in Seattle.
I have the most adorable puppy, thanks to you.  We are inseparable.  She is so sociable and loving from day one that she has to learn not every big dog is someone she can play with.  She has been stepped on a couple of times by a big paw and now is more cautious. She is full of energy and a gourmet.  Everyone loves her and offers to take her in should I ever need to leave her with someone.
She is healthy and does not mind being groomed, even fell asleep once as the groomer was working on her.  What a wonderful job you did.  After using her crate in the beginning as a safe place, she now sleeps on the bed with me, under the covers if she feels like it.  Snuggles at my feet in the sleeping bag when we are in the country.  I could not have asked for a more loving companion. Thank you!
Liliane Gilbert

Merry Christmas!

We wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the best Christmas present.  Scout is such a fun guy.  He started out being called Buddy but we quickly realized just how often we call our two boys Buddy also.  We sat down as a family and, after much discussion, decided that his name is Scout.  He loves to chase the girls around in the morning as they get ready for school.  He is so smart and seems to catch on to things we are teaching him rather quickly.  We still struggle a bit with potty training, but that's our fault not his.  With a large family like ours things sometimes get crazy, even more so during Christmastime, and we forget to take him out when we should.  Hopefully after Christmas we can get things settled back into a normal routine.  It is so fun watching him after it has snowed.  He just LOVES the snow!  He bounds around never taking the same path twice, possibly chasing the snow he's kicking up.  When he needs a little alone time, he slips under one of the two chairs in our living room.

May you have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Love,
The Hydes

Pam -
Our daughter, Chandi, got a wonderful Bichon in July.   We named her Penny, she continues to be with all of us.  We found that our older Bichon, Kizzy, and Penny are inseperable.  When couples move out I will be knocking on your door for two new ones...

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday and please know that you have made ours much brighter with the addition of Penny.  She brings us inordinate amounts of joy every day and the two dogs together are delightful!   Warmly,

Sweet Pea's and Cesar's little boy (born 6/3, bought 9/24) is the best he
could ever be!  We love him to pieces!  His name is Willy.  When he wants to
go out he rings the bell that we hung off the door lever.  (Sherry's
suggestion to teach him that).  He's 99% housebroken and doesn't want to eat
his poop anymore, as he did the first two weeks.  He's a bundle of energy
and makes us laugh all the time.  He's in puppy school.  He's mastered sit,
but we're still working on the rest, mostly stay and walking on a loose
leash, since he's a rowdy boy.  He and Malee (our ShihTzu) are best friends
now, thankfully.

Hi Pam
We have had our new addition to the family for one week now.  She has settled in amazingly well.  Jerry, her big brother was a bit upset at first.   We gave him lots of extra hugs and treats and tried to not make it a big deal when he growled at Jemma and it seems that they have found their own level and yesterday he let her eat out of his bowl with him which I thought was a good sign.  They play together now and Jerry lets her know when the game is over and she understands.  We took her to the vet yesterday for her health check and he pronounced her in perfect health.  They seem very nice and caring there... we are very pleased with little Jemma and she is also doing quite well with potty training too.

Baci born 10/17/04

Hi Pam:

Just wanted to share with you Baci's first appearance on our annual Christmas Card picture!  Isn't she beautiful!  And, she is full of personality, NEVER quits playing (she LOVES every one of her toys), and always wants to be the center of attention.  She is beginning to outgrow the puppy biting/chewing stage, although stray slippers still seem to be fair game!  At one year old, she's happy, healthy, and a joy to have in our lives.

Hope everyone at Fuzzy Pups has a great holiday - and best wishes for the new year!

Hi Pam and Sherry,   Beau (born 3-25-05) is the best tempered and most loveable dog I have ever owned.  I said I wanted a companion dog and travel companion and that he is.  We have flown thousands of miles and still have a trip to Oregon this December.   I bought a pet travel case that is on wheels and Beau rolls down the terminal halls his head out and ears flying off to the next gate.  While in flight he sleeps in his travel case under the seat in front of me---no sedatives for him!!  Just one more brag please, he is good as gold in the hotel rooms and if necessary will use the "piddle pads" I always provide in the room.  Here is a picture of Beau with his "Auntie Lee".

  Hi Pam:
Our little Geoffrey just turned a year this month (he is Marnee and Ceasar's pup) and I though you might like to see what a handsome fellow he is.  He is a delightful little companion, affectionate and very playful.  He loves playing with his toys but what he likes best is running and playing out in the yard.  He is a very quite dog hardly every barks and is wonderful with the neighborhood kids.  Geoffrey and I have gone through puppy basic, basic and advanced dog training and his trainer think he would make a good therapy dog.  People always comment about his coloring, no one has ever seen an all black Shih-Tzu. Thanks for such a sweet little dog.

Hi Pam!
I wanted to give you a quick update on our little Coconut...she's doing great! A whopping 12 pounds now! She loves to play and has gotten many compliments from people who say she's the friendliest Bichon they've ever met. I've attached a photo of her with my 2 1/2 year old nephew, Reef. He came out to NY for a visit from CA last month and they got along like two peas in a pod. Thanks again for such a sweet little pooch!

Pam,

Here are some photos from Turbo's first day at home - definitely an appropriate name for him - lots of energy and a fast little runner. He has no fear of Ruby our other dog. He chases after her in the backyard and loves giving her kisses. They are going to be great friends when he gets bigger - they will both wear each other out!   Carrese Family 11-20-05

Well, the dog, now named Toto, nick name Toto-Bean, is a joy.  Did the well puppy check-up Monday, passed with flying colors.  Eats, sleeps, runs, is very curious...goes potty outside 90+% of the time.  Sleeps the night til between 5 and 6 AM with no accidents then wakes one of us for morning potty.  Bought a litter box and puppy litter but that is a failure so far...eats the litter.  Use cat litter or do you have a favorite?  Ours is Purina Puppy litter, big pieces or tubes.  Have next shot set up for early November.  Loves Tonisha and our daughter Taryn who has the Shiba.  The Shiba has not totally adjusted yet but Toto has no fear and may be slightly too playful for just meeting.  Anyhow, week one is a total success.  Bryan  10-28-05

Hello Pam,
Just a quick update on Charlie (aka Max) Here are some
photos of Charlie at 4 mos. (if I can work this, which
is doubtful).    He's just had his 1st haircut.  Now
we can see his mischievous eyes at last.  He loves
riding in the car, especially with the top down and
the wind in his face (maybe so he can see better,
huh?), and going to the dog park (of course, he always
thinks he's going to the dog park). When he sees me
putting on my suncreen, he thinks its time for him to
go somewhere. Charlie is in puppy class now and
learning alot, now that I've discovered some good,
somewhat healthy treats--Cheerios, goldfish crackers,
and his fav, baby carrots.  Guess you can tell we've
been having alot of fun.  And he's living up to his
namesake from "Travels with Charley" (John Steinbeck),
he's a great traveler and loves meeting new people.
What a charmer!  Thanks again for taking such care
with your pups.

Hi Pam
Here's a new picture of Chloe.  She's now 11 months old and her 1 year birthday is coming up on 10/29.  She's probably 8 1/2 possibly 9 pounds now.  She is quite the social butterfly. We are loving her more than ever. Chloe is a cutie  and, definitely, a petite Bichon Frise.  She loves everybody!  She loves to travel in the car.  She's been to doggy day care a few times and is quite the "social butterfly".  We've been told she has to meet each small dog that arrives and gives them kisses!   We'd love to bring her out sometime! Thank you for Chloe! She has filled that void in our hearts from the loss of Mandi, our Bichon Frise that passed away in January.

Hi to all of you at Fuzzy Pups!

Here's a photo of me sacked out on the sofa in Tashkent.  Boy, have I got jet-lag!  The trip here was really long from Denver all the way to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, but my good friend Carla says I'm a good traveler.  I slept a lot in my Sherpa bag.  I even learned how to use the potty pad in the airplane toilet.  I don't know how people make it in there.  It sure is small for big people but perfect for me.

They don't call my Snowy anymore but named me Brie.  You know, like the French cheese.  I guess of kind of the color of cheese.  I don't smell like cheese.  I smell like shampoo.  I didn't really like my first bath here in Tashkent but I guess I'll get used to it.

I wonder what it will be like in Bishkek, Kyrgzstan?  Will it be as hot as it is here?  They tell me that we're going to live on the 13th floor in a big apartment building.  That's a long ways down to the ground but I'm not worried cuz I'm learning how to go potty indoors in the right place.  What a good girl I am!

Bye for now, I'll write more later.

Brie (and Carla too)   9-21-05

Brie and I are here in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  Brie brings joy to people here.  Today some gray-haired women were sitting on benches outside our apartment building and one of them was grinning an almost toothless grin as I walked towards the entrance.  She spoke to me in Russian  and talked lovey talk to Brie and held and cuddled her.  She was amazed that I had brought Brie all the way from America.

Brie plays with a little dog here that my American friends have.  They call her Tasha and she is part Chinese Crested and part terrier.  They also have a German Shepherd that longs to play with Brie but he is just too big even though he is really friendly and kind.    9-30-05

Hi Pam,

We are planning a trip to Albuquerque in October and I would like to have Gracie as one of your quests for a week in October.  I adopted Gracie from you last February. She will be 9 months old Sept. 23rd and is the joy of my life. She is very smart warm and loving, although she has a stubborn streak as I am sure all the little Shih Chon's do. Ha!!! I will attach a picture so you can see her now. I noticed that our picture is still up on your website when we picked her up. That is so cool.

Just want to let you know the first week with Cody has been wonderful.  He has been to the Vet, Puppy Kindergarten, soccer games, baseball practice, school, shopping, etc.  He is amazed of his new surroundings. He is so much like a baby...sleeps during the day and barks all night.  Daddy Alex is a softy. He slept with him over the long weekend.  We are in training mode now.  He has definitely grown.  We are having our first professional family portrait taken on Monday.  Hopefully, Cody will cooperate.  Also, I gave your number to a lady at a Pet Boutique last week. She fell in love with Cody.

  Hi Pam!!

How do you say thank you to someone that there are no words to express how you feel.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE THIS PUPPY.  You, Heather and Sherri  have given me a gift of pure LOVE AND GOODNESS.  She is by far the sweetest and most well behaved puppy I have ever had.  My Bichon was close but Smoochy is even  better behaved. What ever you guys are doing your doing it right. She was so worth the trip, the tiring and  horrible plane rides I endured that weekend.

Oreos Loves her and they are inseparable.  All they do is wrestle.  Who
ever visits just sees a ball of white fur mixed with a few other colors go rolling by them.  They nap together, they just are such pals.  It is everything I could have hoped for.

She has not had one number 2 accident. Just the first night we took her
home, none since.  We do have tinkles sometimes while running around and we don't grab her fast enough but at the same time she will go to the
door and scratch to go out at times for 1 and 2.  She is very spunky,
even a little devil sometimes and at the same time very loving and so
cute I find it hard to believe she is real.  She looks like a stuffed
animal.

We will be going to puppy training, I can train her myself because I
know how, but I want to show her off !!  People just go crazy for her
and I am so proud to be the mom.  And the under bite, how cute is
that!!!!  Well I could go on and on and on because

I am in Love...................

  Hi Guys,
Just wanted to let you know Max is now named Charlie  His personality didn't quite fit Max but Charlie is great.  Just took him for his 2nd
puppy shots and the vet says he's a great dog.  We spent the day out and about, 1st time for him, and he loved seeing all the people.  I'll probably be sending some inquiries your way as everyone loves him and
wants to know where I got him.  He now has pretty much run of the house even when I'm gone.  He'll go on puppy pads if I'm gone too long for him.  He barks when he needs to go out, then makes me wait while he investigates everything.  Maybe I can teach him the bell system.    He's kind of leary of my small steps going out but he mastered the steeper one in a bound this morning.  He's so smart, I just love him.
Thanks for taking such care with your breeding. Bye for now,

Hi.  Just wanted to send this picture of Teddybear and her new family at the top of Pike's Peak!  She loves to go everywhere we go.  She's a great traveler and even loves to hike with us.  We adore her and can't believe how big she's getting and so fast.  This is one of the last pictures of her before we had her groomed.  She doesn't like to be brushed so we had to cut her hair a little.  She's still fluffy just not as much!

Anyway.  I'll look for a picture of her hiking and I'll forward it.  Thanks
for a great puppy and a wonderful addition to our family!

Hi Pam,
We can hardly believe that Max has turned 3 years old on the 4th of July!  It was the best family decision we have ever made.  All three of the kids still fight over which bedroom he is sleeping in.  He is so funny.  When we put on our tennis shoes he jumps about three feet high waiting for us to catch him and take him with us.  He does not like the heat however.  We get up the path a little ways, he sees a shade tree and decides he is done.  I wonder what people think when they drive by us carrying our dog!  I hope you enjoy the picture!  He is 12 pounds and very healthy.  We have had no issues at all with him.  Now we just wish we would have gotten 2 puppies!  Nanette Pietrek   8-12

All is going very well with Beau.  His arrival was fortuitous as I had to put my dear friend Maggie the Beagle to sleep----very unexpected!  I really needed my friend Beau and he was up to the job.  He is a real love.

Hi Pam and Heather,

Just wanted to let you know puppy and I got home safe a little jet lagged but we are doing better now.  She was a complete Angel, poor thing was stuck in the Sherpa for hours on and off all day.  She did not make a sound.  Best puppy I have ever experienced so far.

Has not messed in my house once.  She goes in the designated area as if she has been doing it all her life (2months :))
This I have never seen before.  I can't explain how this is happening.  I am taking her out hourly however I did that with my Oreo when she was a puppy and she would torture me.  I would be out with her and she would bark and play with her shadow or do anything but the business at hand.  We would walk inside and she would tinkle.  I made up a song about how she just would tinkle everywhere but outside.  I am doing the same thing with Smoochy that I did with Oreo and Smoochy just seems to be getting it.  Thank you for this very smart puppy, it's a blessing to have such a great dog!!

I will keep you updated on my little smoocharelli!!

Thank you again ,and bless you both for the wonderful work you do and sherry too!

Thanks for everything.  We can't tell you how much Bijou has added to our lives.  We could not have asked for a more perfect baby!!  She has been to the Vet's three times now, all is well and she is a whopping 7.6 pounds already.  She has the energy of a small nuclear plant and I've lost at least 10 lbs. myself from all the walking and playing with Bijou.  Attached are some pics.  Thanks to both you and Sherry for all of your support.  This little girl stops traffic she's so cute.  The kicker is she knows it.

Hi Pam,
I was wondering if you guys new which girl I was going to get.  I want
to start loving her now.  They are both really cute.  I will take which
ever one is most playful and of course sweet.  Pretty eyes are big for
me too.

By the way, I spent the last two months talking with many breeders and I
have to tell you that you two are the nicest, most professional and
caring breeders that I have come across.  I really liked the fact that
you wouldn't ship.  That was the clincher for me.  Your really care for
your kids.  A real class act.

Thanks for all of your help and understanding as I adopt my new baby.  I
look forward to meeting you and seeing your "Bichon Frise Getaway"

Hi Pam!
I just wanted to give you a quick update on Coconut. She's doing fantastic! Growing bigger and bigger daily both physically and in personality. At almost 6 months now (can you believe it?) she's going to be starting her first Puppy Kindergarten class tomorrow. I'm confident that she'll be the cutest one there! She absolutey loves people and other animals and enjoys playing with lots of other dogs. She shows no fear around dogs that are larger than she is and even bosses them around! I take her to daycare a few days a week while I'm at work and she comes home completely exhausted. While there she plays with three standard poodles and another Bichon and gets plenty of exercise. I have to thank you again for such a sweet dog. We love her so much!

P.S. I've attached a photo of Coconut sleeping. I was doing some work on the computer last night and she cuddled up with our oversized stuffed Mickey and fell fast asleep!

Just wanted you to know that Beau (BoBo) Hoffman was an angel on the flight home to Tucson.  He continues to be an angel with just enough mischief to be real. Maggie the beagle had a couple of days of bewilderment and then settled in with the personality plus Beau.

Thank you so much for such a great selection for our household.  I already know that Beau has what it takes to become a therapy dog and I can't wait to enroll him in the Delta Society program.

Continued success in all you do and thanks again.

Hi Pam,
Molly just had her 1 year birthday!! She weighs in at 9 pounds.
She is doing great, such a wonderful, loving little dog. We recently went on a camping trip that covered 1600 miles. She was very much the traveling dog!!! In fact, she was better behaved than the children!! She did incredibly well riding with us in the truck, and
staying in the camper. Everyone at the campsites loved her, she was the most compatible, portable, and fun-loving dog. I'm sending along a picture of her, taken on the road.

Hi Pam,
We were on line checking out picnic plans and realized we had not given you an update on our Shichon puppy that we received late last summer.

His name is Squirt and he has the softest fur. He is better house trained than his brother Neumie and he goes out our new doggy door. Squirt loves to play with toys.

He loves to cuddle in bed with us, but will not come to us any other time. Guess its time for puppy classes.

He is very friendly and barks at any dog or person who walks by our house and doesn't stop to say hello.

His best friend is Neumie who we rescued from you several years ago. Neumie is the best dog ever and is a great big brother to Squirt. They wrestle and chase each other around the house for hours.

Squirt and Neumie are very gentle with Hillary our granddaughter who loves doggies. When she comes to visit she chases Squirt around the house.

I'm not very good at pictures on the internet but, will bring you a picture of our two wonderful dogs when we come to the picnic. One of the three white shih chons on the web page is Squirt .this way you can see what a beautiful dog he grew into. We couldn't be happier with both of them.

Sorry I have not written in so long. I do not spend much time on the computer these days; I am busy playing with my wonderful puppy. Pepin is doing great. Potty training is going very well. Whenever he goes on his potty pad he will bark if I have not noticed...that way he gets his proud moment. He will then strut over to where he gets his treats, sit down and wait for his reward. He is 6lbs. now and healthy as can be. He has added so much joy to our family.  He loves his toys and his family. He is a very happy boy. .

Thank you!!!!!!

Hi Pam,
Just an update on Cheyenne (pictured with her "little bro" Sage, who we found locally).  She is still a sweetie pie and cuddly girl.  We LOVE her so much and she gets along with Sage very well.  She's even taught him a few of her tricks, like getting mom's attention by stealing shoes from the closet.   Everyone who meets these puppies love them, but love Cheyenne the most, because she is so sweet.   Thanks,

Pam,
I just thought you might want to see some updated photos of Coconut. She just has her first visit to the groomer yesterday! She looks so fluffy!

THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU My little King Pepin the Short (Pepin) is the cutest thing in the world. He is doing very well. The potty training is going well...he is going on his potty pads almost every time.

He has slept through the night one time but we are getting better. I have taken him almost everywhere and wow is he a hit.

He has a check up with his doctor this Saturday to check his stitches...I wanted him to get to know his doctor before he needed to get shots.

Everything about him is wonderful. He is loving, smart and funny. He thinks he is much bigger than he is judging by the size of toys he prefers.

I will send pictures as soon as I get some sleep and figure out my digital camera :)

I just wanted to give you an update and assure you that he is doing very well and is adored by his new family. This little kiddo is never short on attention and love.

Thank you again and I will keep in touch.

Hi
Our Shih-Chon puppies Romy and Guster, are doing great. We love them.  We thought you might like to see some recent pictures.  I think Guster was born 8/5 or 25 2004 and Romy
11/5/04. She is tiny but does not back down. She is
much more daring and brave than Guster ever was or is.
They make a great pair. Constantly playing together

We ( Jim & Gayle Hawkins) haven't written you since we adopted Lizzie on January 15th (Black & White female Shih-Tzu, formally called Oreo born Nov. 5th) but I have called and talked to you few times about various things.

I just have to let you know how happy we are to have Lizzie in our lives.  She is so part of the family and the true love of our lives.  She is such a buddy and companion to me because I am alone a lot due to my husband's job which involves a great deal of traveling.  My husband is so envious of me because I am able to spend so much time with her.  She has melted our hearts and has given us so much joy.

Thank you for raising her in such a good environment, I know that is why she has been so good.  Training her has been so easy with your helpful packet and most of my questions I have been answered in your material.  Just to let you know I will be getting her spayed in May as you instructed.

Thank you again for Lizzie and we "Highly" recommend you to all who ask where we got her.

With Great Gratitude,
Jim & Gayle and Lizzie too!

Pam -

We love her!  She is social, sweet and well behaved!

Thank you.  You have our business and recommendations and please know that she has a wonderful home.  Her name is Penny because she is bright as one.

Thank you - you have enriched our lives.

Keep us on your mailing list and updates.

I just thought I'd report on our first week.  What a wonderful little dog!
Whatever you and your partner did was just right.  This is a brave,
confident, loving puppy.  She's got me trained to go outside regularly and
luckily the weather is cooperating.

Her name is Miss Muffet and I think she knows it already.  She never fails
to come when she's called.  I'm so impressed and very happy.
Daisy, the 10 year old bichon who already lived here, is coming around.
They had a great time today playing with a tennis ball and they've had a
couple of games of chase -- though it's usually Miss Muffet chasing Daisy.
We've even gone for walks on a leash.  If Daisy has a leash that's a little
longer, Muffet will follow her anywhere.

So, here we are,  another happy Fuzzy Pup owner.
Oh, there's one more story.  I was in the knitting store one day talking
about my puppy and another lady chimed in about her's.  Turns out, she has a
Fuzzy Pup too.  She got it right before Christmas, I think.  And we both are
happy and have nothing but nice things to say about our experience.
Thanks so much.

Hi Pam.  Kim wanted me to forward a photo of Allie & Lily to you.  They are both doing great.  Very distinctive personalities and both are really enjoying their new home.  We are so happy and blessed to have them with us.  Thanks so much for your help and for having such great puppies!

Hi Pam,

Just thought I'd write and say Gracie is doing wonderfully. She is adapting to her new home very well. She slept all night last night and when I woke this morning she was just sitting there in her kennel not crying or anything. She loves her toys and has found herself in the bedroom closet mirrors. What a crack up.

Thanks,

Hi Pam

I'm sending a couple pictures of Chloe.  We are loving her and she is spoiled rotten as you can see from the pictures. She's 4.9 pounds now! We are so glad you wanted to place her with a couple without children and we were that couple!

We loving being her parents! Potty training is going great.  She loves to ride in the car and loves the outdoors!

Hi,Pam,
This is a thank you message.  You have done a wonderful job with her.  She is so good-natured, affectionate, just  adorable.  She never trembled of fear, trusts everyone, even big dogs.  The only thing that scares her is a bark.
She learns something every day.  She does her business outside (wee-wee on grass, the other in the dirt or at the edge of the lawn).  I have not yet managed to litter box train her.  She thinks the dog litter is something to play with.  Thank you for crate training her.  I would not be surprised, however, if she figured out herself that the crate is a safe place, she is so smart!  She eats well, even likes apples, avocados, cheese (these are little treats).

Can't figure out a favorite toy yet.  She sleeps through the night on my bed, wakes me up by kissing my face and nibbling on my ear.  Today is the first day of rain.  She does not like it.  She is quite a character. I feel I hit the jackpot with her. Thank you!

Hi Pam,

I've been meaning to mail you about our puppy, Lucky.  We think he is the most darling and sweetest puppy we could have ever possibly come upon!  I tell people he is my dream dog!  The kids love him, and he adores each one of them.  He is very happy.  He adjusted quickly, never cried at night, he runs to our sliding door to go potty (he only has had one accident, the first evening we got home and he didn't know where to go!) he rings a dangling bell for us to open the door! When he comes back in, he must wipe his feet and then he sits patiently for a tiny bit of a treat.  He walks right into his crate to sleep.  He has mastered "sit" and does well with "down", and "Lucky, come".  He has claimed the left side of my comfy reading chair, when I sit in it he dashes over and sits in front of it waiting for me to lift him up to his spot! He loves the doggy bed we bought from you!  He likes to sleep on his back, ears spread out, hands in front- it's quite the sight!  We think he is amazing, and very cuddly- the children never put him down!  We are just so happy we have him, and thank you for all your hard work making these puppies available to us!  It is a beautiful thing to watch the love going on here at our house!
Well, just wanted to let you know that we adore this little guy you let us have!  Thanks so much!
Sincerely,

  Hi Pam and Sherry,
Gabe wanted me to send you his birthday picture. It is hard to believe my boy is a year old. He continues to be my best friend ( which is such a comfort at this time). We have moved to the senior community of Heritage Eagle Bend and Gabe is my good will ambassator.  I have met more people by walking Gabe who thinks he should say hi to everyone. The world is Gabe's oyster and he loves it. What a delightful pet he is and is dedication knows no limit.  Oh yes this little Corn Husker is at 20 lbs now but thinks he is about 8lbs and mom can carry me when ever I have the urge. He loves to sit on my lap . . . it just is my lap is not quite big enough for this guy. Hope all is well with everyone.

Well, here he is, the coolest little dog in the world.  He really is a smart guy.  He is pretty well house trained now and he sleeps in a cage next to the bed all night.  The Duke is great, doesn't shed and loves to give kisses.   I believe he thinks he is a little human boy.  He had his first haircut Friday so we can finally see his eyes.  They look like Puss In Boots from Shrek 2, big brownies.  He is spazzing out right now, he just learned to jump off the couch, he is so proud of himself.  We are having so much fun with Duke.  He is everything you said he would be  The Roy's Colorado Springs, CO  80920l

HiPam:

Just wanted to let you know Baci is adapting wonderfully to Illinois.  She loves being outside - especially when there is snow!  In fact, sometimes it's hard to get her to come in.  She is eating and sleeping (thank goodness!) well, but it's very clear she does not enjoy being groomed!  I had forgotten what chewers puppies were - I think we now have about as many chew toys as PetSmart!  I've attached a picture of Baci the first night home in her new backyard - she's pretty much made the entire house and yard her domain!

Thanks for everything and we'll send pictures periodically.

Christie is one year old and has been a total delight since joining our family.  She has Coco the cat pretty well under control and me too!

She was voted Miss Congeniality in her Puppy Kindergarten as she made friends with all the dogs and their owners.  Her favorite buddy was a Bull Mastiff who was afraid of all the dogs except Christie. Her next assignment is to train her new "cousin", a German Shepherd puppy. We're considering getting her involved in the hospital visitation/therapy program.  Just thought you'd like to know.

With Molly's 6 month birthday coming up soon, thought I'd send you an update.  She had her first groomer's visit about a month ago, and at first we were a bit worried because she's so excitable when she first meets someone.  But, when I picked her up the groomer said she was so good! She let her clean her ears, and even shave her nose. (which the groomer said dogs hardly ever let her do that!) I didn't realize (until after the grooming) what pretty eyes she has, and she was so soft afterwards!
She is completely housetrained. We put in a doggy door system last week...one that leads out of our pantry into the garage, and then one out the garage wall into the potty yard. It only took her two days to figure it out. But what's funny is that sometimes she still rings the bell, then heads out the doggy doors. I guess she just wants to let me know where she's going!  We have become extremely attached to her, she is such a joy. But, she is a little thief...you can't take off a shoe or sock without her taking off with it!  I'm sending along a picture of her and our cat Smokee, as they lounge together on top of our couch.

Hi guys! How are you? My name is Trisha. My mom and I came to your ranch  about a year and a half ago, and left with a 5 month old Pomerianian Bichon named Tazzy. From the
moment I saw him running around at the ranch I was hooked, and it's been true love ever since! Tazzy and I are soul mates! Because of our strong connection I took Tazzy when I left home (my mom teases that I stole him.) My husband is in the Air Force so we have lived in Georgia and are currently stationed in Sumter, South Carolina. Tazzy turned two October 17th, and couldn't be better! He now has two new sisters Tybee (a Cock-a -poo) and Halee (a human). He is a great big brother.  He was a little tiny puppy when we first got him, and now weighs 13 pounds! When people see him they are absolutly amazed by his cuteness and just love his ears. I just wanted to give you an update on him. I also wanted to ask if you have heard how his sister Jazzy is?

I thought I would write and report on our new puppy, Guster. We are in love with him. He and my wife, Kelly, bonded instantly at the airport. He is so cute. I told Kelly that it is almost as if he had lessons in being cute. He is so affectionate. He hardly ever barks and is so good with our friend's six year old daughter. Thank you for such a wonderful pet. The process was very smooth even though we live in North Carolina and you are in Colorado.
People stop and stare at Guster as they drive by our home and ask"what kind of dog is he? How did you find him?"
Thank you,

(Shih-Chon)

Just sending you an update on Molly, along with another picture.
We took her in for her 16 week check up and her last set of puppy shots, and she's doing great! They love her at the vets.....because she is such a "people' dog...giving lots of kisses and getting so excited when meeting someone new. I have had MANY people tell me she looks like an "Ewok" from the Star Wars movies.

She is doing great with housetraining!!!  We hung a bell on the door like you recommended, and she rings it when she needs to go out. She has also adapted well to walking with a leash...and doesn't mind (too much) if it's cold out and we put a little coat on her. She loves riding on my lap in the van to pick the girls up from school.  She has learned to not to be so "mouthy" with me when playing, as she has sharp little puppy teeth!  "No, or No bite!" is all I I have to say to her... I'm still trying to "train" my husband, tho, as he's the one who likes to get rowdy with her, and has ended up with an unintentional pierced ear, and a bloodied nose. (He'll never learn!)
She's a great little dog!

  Pam,

Well, it has been 30 days since we accepted Dusty into our family. And that he is...."a part of the family." He is doing great and has created his own routines. He has done wonderful with potty training and now have that behind us.

The only downfall is that I have spoiled him rotten. We start puppy kindergarten next week to bring him (and me) back to reality.

Just wanted to thank you again. The whole processes of adopting and the pickup of Dusty was very enjoyable.

Thank you,

Just wanted to let you know all has gone well with the arrival of our new pup.  His vet visit went well, he's potty & crate training well, and he starts puppy training tomorrow.  Can't tell you how much we love him.  He's a great advertisement for you here in Seattle since people just can't resist him!  His name is Jackson.  Will update you with some pics soon.

Hi Pam,
Just wanted to drop you a note letting you know that the Shih-chon puppy we got from you ( four days ago) is doing really well.  Molly lost her lunch on the car ride home, but has been fine since.  She eats well, and goes potty on a regular basis. There's only been one accident so far.....(when someone else was watching her while I took a shower).  I fully expected to be getting up with her at night, but she has slept from around 9-9:30pm to 5-6:30 am every night! (Even I have to get up more often than that to go potty!). She loves her crate, her little blue squeaky monkey, and my daughters flip-flops!  We take her on short rides to the post office every day to try and get her used to the van.  She has become fast buddies with one of our cats, and the other cat is coming around slowly.  We are easing into introducing her to our lab.....they sniff each other through the fence and Molly thinks she's so tough, and much bigger than what she is.  Anyway, she's been a lot of fun and really sweet!

Hi Pam,
Thought I would send you a fairly new picture of Gabe as he approaches his 6 month old birthday. He has turned out to be the most delightful pet I think I have ever had. He is by far the most loving and affectionate. I have never had a boy dog and I am here to tell you I don't think I will ever buy a girl again. He is so loving. He is not going to be the little dog I had hoped for. The last time he was at the vet for his final booster he was almost 15 pounds and still growing. He is a keeper so you can't have him back but he is a brute. (of course he and Bernie were big boys at birth). I just wanted you to know what a winner he is. I think I have the best you had to offer.  I am so glad I have Gabe. I can't tell you how much company he is or how he can lift my spirits. For example the other day he was growling at the base board and I went to see what was wrong and there was a moth on the base board. When I picked it up with a tissue he wagged his tail and looked at me as if to say "See what a great hunter I am!" We now call him our "Big Game Hunter".

Sharon Armstrong

Dear Pam,
The update on our little pup is that "Patch" is well loved and doesn't stop wagging his little tail.  He nows sleeps through the night easily in his cage.  Potty training is getting better too.  He gets so much lovin' that I have to tell our  three girls to give him his alone time in the afternoon.  They are so good with him and Patch's best position is on his back totally relaxed begging for his belly to be scratched.  We've noticed in one week that he is much stronger and particularly faster when it comes to trying to catch him.  My friend took him and my daughter down by the creek and hiking trail today and we can tell this dog was born ready for the mountains.  Thank you again for picking out this special boy for us.

Sincerely,

DEAR PAM & KEN:

JUST A SHORT NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT "AZUCAR"- SPANISH FOR SUGAR ("ZUKIE" FOR SHORT) IS WONDERFUL !!!  HE IS SMART AND WELL BEHAVED AND FULL OF LOVE AND AFFECTION.  WE TOOK HIM TO THE VET LAST THURSDAY AND HE IS IN EXCELLENT HEALTH; WEIGHED 4 LBS 8 OZ.  HIS TRAINING IS GOING VERY WELL; LETS US KNOW WHEN HE HAS TO GO OUT.  SPENDS A LOT OF TIME ON OUR LAP.  TRAVELS WELL.  WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WE HIM!

AS YOU PROBABLY EXPECTED, WE WILL NOT BE BRINGING HIM DOWN TO BOARD ON THE 14TH, AS HE AND THE GRANDKIDS LOVE EACH OTHER AND ARE GETTING ALONG VERY, VERY WELL.  WE WILL BE TAKING HIM TO STEAMBOAT FOR EVELYN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY.

THANKS FOR DOING A WONDERFUL JOB OF RAISING HIM FOR HIS FIRST TEN WEEKS; WE"LL TRY TO DO AS WELL FROM HERE ON OUT!

Hi Pam,   just wanted to let your know our first week with Lily was great. She is just a little sweetheart. Potty training is also going well.  I take her out about every couple of hours and if she needs to go sooner she lets me know.  I attached a picture of Lauren and Lily and a picture of Lily and Tiger(our cat) having a peaceful moment.  We'll see you at the picnic.  Lisa, Lauren, and Lily.

This is the new "Bunny" mama writing today, and you are soooo right about a perfect pet.  And she is!  Today she learned stay and already knows sit.  We'll go on to "no barking" soon as she has made me a soft touch already.  I'm afraid she has me so well trained that I am giving in too much and now she think when she speaks I have to jump.  (thru hoops instead of her! ha)

Bunny loves her bath time and pampering with the brushes so that is one reason "show dog" came to mind.  But I don't want her to have a restrictive life-style with the constant primping.  However, that "best of show" Bichon I saw a couple of years ago on the Westminster Dog Show is the reason I got a Bichon.  I have dreamed of that dog, that's how impressed I was.  After studing the breed I knew I wanted a dog like Bunny.  And the money I spent on her was worth every cent.  She is perfect in every way.

I am so pleased and impressed with your high standards for breeding, cleanliness and caring of the dogs (and it shows in the quality of dog you offer for sale) that I am thanking you soooo much! for being so true to the breeding standards.  You are to be congratulated.  So " Lots of congrats on a job well done!!!http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/snd/emo/lgh/laughingchild1.mp3Click to play sound: Laughing Kids http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/snd/emo/lgh/laughingchild2.mp3Click to play sound: Laughing Child http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/snd/emo/pn/belch.mp3Click to play sound: Belch opps, pardon me.

Dear Pam and Sherry,
I have been wanting to write to you since the day we brought Bernie home, but I haven't been able to come up with the words to tell you how much he has filled our hearts.  We adore him!  He became part of our family immediately and I can't remember life without him.  We truly feel that we have found the perfect puppy!  Not only is he adorable to look at (as you know), but he has the sweetest personality and loves people.  He is still a puppy, so he does get into mischief, but it is so hard to scold him when you look at his sweet little face.  Usually, we end up laughing as he runs across the house with one of our shoes he's stolen.  Hopefully, he won't get too spoiled!
He is also very smart and growing quickly!  Sometimes we wonder if he won't be as big as a Saint Bernard, which he looks so much like!
I don't know how to thank you enough for giving us this wonderful gift and changing our lives.
Thank you both!

Susie White and family

Pam,
Here's a few photos of the NOT VERY SHY Cheyenne. She LOVES to run with the big dogs and has only gotten ran over once! The big dogs like her very well. I'll try to get a better picture of them fetching together.  Driving all the way from  Southern NM was worth the trip for Cheyenne.  She has brought us many hours of fun, laughs and love.  Even my husband carries a photo of her in his wallet :)

Take care,

Hi Pam,
Just a quick note to you on the progress of our little "Gabe Boy". He is doing pretty well. We have had a few accidents in the house and I have had to bang my head with the newspaper because some of them were my fault. Gabe is sleeping in his crate which he loves. The last two nights he has went from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. I think this is great but then he is ready to play and play and play. He is eating very well. Loves his Nutro food. The vet check went very well . . .6.5 pounds. Still cutting baby teeth and she feels sure he will be very smart. I could have told her that. He already knows where his treats are and if he goes potty outside when he comes in he runs to the cupboard for his treat. He loves Jerry which is great and will sit on his lap a lot. All in all I wouldn't take a million dollars for him but once in a while I might sell him for a penny. Oh yes, one more thing   . . . . we have decided we have our own Puppies'R'Us Toy Store. It is my walk in closet. I have three or four pair of furry slippers and if we forget to shut the door Gabe gets to go shopping.  I will send a updated picture soon.

Hi Pam, here are the pictures of Annie .... As you can see, she is the center of attention at our house. We just adore her. She was easy to train and has complete run of the house. She loves her doggie door and spend much of the day running in and out. She also like to take walks around the block and stay right on the sidewalk.

We are thinking about adopting a 'sister' for Annie to keep her company. It's still in the discussion stage but I have filled out the pre-adoption form. Just a matter of putting it in the mail.

Thanks for raising such great Pups.

Kevin

PARKER:
My Mother and I have been searching for the perfect
puppy. In searching several breeders I came across
Pam. Let me tell you the experience we had in picking
a puppy was just as much joy as we will have for
several years to come.  Parker is the complete joy of
our life!!! We are so in love with him I can't tell
you. He is absolutely precious. And he's an angel ...
We have quite a Parker fan club..  he is so  very
loving....You know, I just can't get over how
affectionate he is.
Pam takes great care of all of her little babies and
spent several hours with us. Picking a puppy for the
first time is challenging. Pam took the time to answer
all of our questions.
Pam's service and professionalism was outstanding. I
highly recommend Pam if you are searching for a new
addition for your family!

"Rocky" made it!  He's adorable and happy.  We tried a bath, which he hated.  I was worried that it stressed him out too much because he shook for a while afterwards.  After a little nap, he seems to have recovered.  Listen to me babble on like a new Mom.   Thanks for getting our little guy off to such a great start.

Bear has settled in nicely.  He is the most lovable little animal we
have ever had.  He already gets it when it comes to potty training.  He
only had 1 accident and it was our fault...
He never cried through the first night. He stayed in his kennel next to
me with my arm in his kennel.   Second night he went into his kennel all
by himself and my arm wasn't necessary at all...  This morning we spent just 5
minutes working on "Come" before his breakfast and used his food as
treats.  He's still a fuzzy about what he is supposed to do.  We'll keep
working on that until he gets it before we move on to "sit".

"Shih-Tzu are the greatest!  Everyone should have one, or two or five or six of them!   Everywhere we go, people love Pint, and he adores everyone we meet as well.  Definitely put us on a wait list for another."

"I absolutely adore him.  I can barely keep him at my desk at work.  I constantly have a people asking to "borrow" him for a meeting or an hour or two.  He's become the office stress reliever.  A few minutes cuddling with him and you forget about all your work worries!  And he's sooo social. "

Pam,
Just wanted to drop a note to let you know how well Buddy is doing.  We just love him to death.  He is potty trained and very well behaved.   I don't know what I would do without him now, he is my shadow and absolutely my best friend.

A year ago September (2002), our family adopted a Bich-Tzu from you  ("Astro").  We want to thank you for such a wonderful addition to our family.  I know we are biased, but, honestly, we have never met a dog with a better disposition than Astro. He is always eager to play, and seems to instantly fall in love with whomever enters our home.  When we go out of town and
can't bring him, we are never shy of having friends and family offer to watch him.  He seems to have a wonderful magic about him that makes everyone who is around him happy.

"Here is our little Birthday boy.  The girls made a cake for him and bought him the tuxedo.  They brought him around the neighborhood and delivered cake to all the neighbor dogs.  He is the best "Party dog" around!"

"It is almost unfathomable to think that we visited you all afternoon one day in November of 1994.  That day we met our beloved boy and named him Prancer. - August 19, 1994. He is still the sweetest little man and so gentle natured. He is in good health, but keep him trimmed this time of year in Florida due to the 80-90 degree weather.  However, we are looking for a companion for Prancer."   ~~~~~Henry and Rita~~~~~

"I'd also like to say BIG thanks for breeding mixes.  It is so hard to find a non-recreational breeder that has mix pups at a reasonable cost, takes the time and effort to ensure they are placed in good homes, selects moms/dads from good gene pools to ensure healthy pups, and .....  I won't buy pups that haven't had their 1st set of shots, aren't 10-12 weeks old, and have unknown dads.  Sadly that eliminates a lot.                    ~~~~~elizabeth   COS, CO~~~~

"Pam, we recently (4 months ago) got one of the male Bich-Tzu's (Dakota) and we love him (I believe he is the one on your website).  He has an outstanding character and loves to be with us.  When we picked him up he weighted 4.6 pounds, he currently weights 9.8 pounds.  He is healthy, intelligent and very active... please keep us in mind if you have another litter of the Bich-Tzu's as we would be interested in another male. "   ~~~~Dan, Schriever AFB~~~~

Just wanted to say hello and tell you how pleased we are with Victor. He is such a joy, he is so cute and what a personality. He gets along well with his new brothers- although they are larger than him he has fit in just fine. He gets a bit aggervated when he can't jump up and sit in the window with the cat!But he sure does try hard! Your mixed breeds are wonderful- my husband asked why I didn't take Victoria too! We took him to petsmart for some more toys and such and everyone was so impressed with him, they were amazed when I told them what mix he was, and you were right- we walked into the vets office and they said he was such a cute little Jack Russell! You have a great team there in Denver, your dogs are great! thanks for all you have done, Kim..............

*Note...they did come back for Victoria!

Just to let you know that we think Harley is "top-dog".  He is doing wonderful, of course, our first stop was to PetsMart for new toys, food and treats.  He is adorable and always very active, he and our cat are still getting "acquainted", but the magic will happen, we are sure.  I am so happy that I found your website.  Thank you so much!    Pat and Rodney

"Angel IS an angel. We started the first phase of clicker training & she is a GREAT student -- is learning fast!!! She already stays with us walking to the open space & back & ignores the other barking dogs. I like this method -- we can even use it w / the kitten. I have referred several friends to you for Bichons, they just love her so much. She was a hit at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley too at the vet. She is nice & healthy. " L. Hodge, Boulder, CO

I just wanted to let you know that Bear is doing well.   He is now litter box trained and is very easy to travel with.  He's so intuative and smart!  I love him so much.  I recently created a website and put a movie of Bear doing tricks on it.  If you'd like to check it out the website it is:  www.angelfire.com/moon/iman_haddad  Just click on the movie button.
When people meet Bear they're always so excited to see how many tricks he knows.  Take care,  Iman
