Disney as a puppy

I was on your website and noticed no photos of our "Disney"! We got
him from you 3 years ago. Here are photos of him from the day we got
him, and one today. He is such a HUGE part of our family! He is
perfect for our family! He loves to play ball, but equally happy to
crawl up for a cuddle. I was never really a dog person before, but got
him, knowing every child deserves a dog. Boy am I a Disney person and
often beg my husband for another Shih Chon. I love Disney, like I do my
son. I have been very sick, hospitalized numerous times and his
visits in the hospital were my best days. He stays with me on my bed,
when I come home after surgeries, treatments/chemo. We are fortunate
to have 2 of his "siblings" live in the same neighborhood, so he gets
to play with them.
See you next weekend! July 9, 10, and 11

Hi
Pam,
Toots is doing just great! Her happiest moments are going for walks, snuggling at night when she is tired, and untying shoelaces. She has fit into our family as if she were always here. She is just loved to pieces!!
I’m attaching a couple pictures of her in this email for you. She is with her big sister named Chancie, who is 11 years old and has not seen this much energy around her in years! Of course, I have a whole photo album of her, but I’ll pick just a couple. (Ignore the title of the pictures as they are on the same card as a trip to San Francisco.) She is sitting on the kitchen counter in the second picture and by the back door in the third one.
She is getting better with housetraining, although I screw up once in a while and she has an accident! Our biggest problem is that I always “predict” when she needs to use the restroom rather than her telling me when she needs to go out. She uses the doggy door with great confidence, but not for the restroom, only to play or get to Chancie. So, we are learning and growing together, but overall, she is awesome. Any tricks you know I am certainly open to suggestions.
Today, she is getting spayed and the vet called to say she came through surgery like a champion. I will pick her up after 3 p.m. The two of us are pretty attached and I miss her terribly today, but reunions are fun too! I hope all is well with the rest of your puppies.

PS How many siblings does Reba have out there? How many were in her litter? Ans: 6 - 3 boys 3 girls -- a big litter for a little Shih Tzu
Pam,
We love our Benny soooooooooo much! He is such a delight, and I am
constantly amazed that he is just a puppy. He just naturally seems to do
everything with ease and so mellow. What a great addition to our family.
Abbie (we're the one's with the bad Westie story) adores Benny, and Benny
adores our whole family. Benny is so playful and enjoys dogs so much we
want to get Benny a buddy and would like another Shih-Chon. This time we
would like a gold with black mask. I saw a female (Buttercup) on your site
about 3 weeks ago, but I didn't act fast enough. When do you anticipate a
new litter? I'll send a picture of Benny on a separate email.
AndreaLittle Benny is toothless on the bottom at the moment. All his little
teeth have fallen out in the front . Since he has a little underbite all
you see is pink gum. Looks like a little old man without his
dentures--adorable.
Moby (aka Dusty) is doing terrific after the first two
days adjustment with our Misty..see attached. Thanks for everything.

Pam,
A picture of Bandit. We adopted him from you in April for my daughters
birthday. He is the sweetest and silliest dog on the planet. We spend a lot of
time watching our son play baseball. Bandit has become the team dog. He sits
right up against the fence and watches. He prefers to have a cool towel around
him on hot days. He loves car rides, is a great hotel guest, and has a
permanent smile.
Thank you for this little bundle of joy!

It's
been almost 2 years since I was adopted by my mom, Missi, and dad, Ben, and
wanted to give you a quick update on my life. Currently I live in Aurora, CO
with my Boston Terrier sister, Rosie. She and I get along very well and enjoy
playing with whatever toys we find - my favorite are the bones. My other
favorite activities include cuddling on my parents laps, going for walks,
chasing birds, napping and what mom calls the "bichon buzz" where I run around
and around the house at top speed growling and picking up random objects I find
on the floor. Everyone always says that I have the sweetest disposition of any
dog they've ever met, I don't know what that means but it makes mom happy so I
like it. Last summer I came to visit fuzzy pups with my mom and grandparents to
help grandma and grandpa pick out a puppy. They adopted my shichon cousin and
named him Toby. Toby is very happy with my grandparents and I like to visit him,
even though he has a lot more energy than I do! My mom and dad say thank you to
fuzzy pups for letting them adopt such a sweet, lovable dog, and they'll likely
be back to adopt more bichons in the future! (Included are pictures: my mom's
favorite pic of me, professional picture of my family as well as a picture of
cousin Toby).

Hi, Pam--
Hi:
Just wanted you to have a pic of the Boulder Shih Chon group. There are
four of us who have met so far... Iggy, Tashi and Izzy (Ollie is in the
snow pic). We love them so much!!!

HI Pam:
Just wanted you to know that we arrived in Montana safe and sound. Our
new puppy (I think we are going to call him Beau-Beau) handled the trip
just fine. He is such a cutie. He and our terrier are becoming fast
friends. Thank-you for your part in bringing us this wonderful
addition to our family! I'll send pictures your way soon.
Best regards-
Jane Erickson
Hi! Here's a couple pictures of Bandit with his first hair cut. The grommer
was just going to do his ears and nails at first. She stated that since it was
his first time, just wanted it to be a great experience. But she started to
trim him and he was great. Jennifer said that he just loved his bath and the
drying. Which is true, when I start to dry him, he lays on his back, to have
his belly done first.

Hi: Your
fans in Boulder, CO want to know when your reunion in 2010 will take
place?. We clicked on the reunion info on your website and can't get any
more info. There are several of us from Boulder who now know one another
and may want to attend:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our little Zoe is so awesome! She has had only a few accidents but does
great. Actually goes to bed with the boys and gets up with the boys so great
potty training. She would certainly like to eat her food when she wants so just
working with her so she knows what she doesn't eat goes up until lunch time:)
She hasn't been to the vet yet but will go this week since her next shot is due
this week.
She has a funny little underbite that we noticed during her first nap.
She has been a very loving little puppy and everyone is doing great. My son
hasn't had any trouble so thanks so much for your understanding.
I actually recommended to a friend to go pick up her sister so if you
get another call in the next week you'll know I sent Debre your way:)
Thanks again Devan

Pam and Sherry,
Hi! Just thought I'd
give you an update on bandit. His potty training is going very well. He's
sitting on command and doing his sit-pretty. He sits down, then waves his
two front paws. Bandit had his other shot, and will have the other one in
May. He has what I like to call his wild moments, where he just wants to
run and run. But when I tell him to stay, he stops and just lays down.
Bandit has been nothing but a big joy to me. He is so loving, but at the
same time can give you a little attitude. When he gives attitude, we tell
him its not nice and he lays down or just gives you his paw and settles
down.

Hello!
First of all, thank you so very much for our wonderful dog Cali! She is a Shih
Shon, black and white, born 1/31/09 and adopted on 4/19/09. She has the most
beautiful temperament-curious, loves all people and dogs, confident, and just
plain funny! Everyone who meets her falls in love, and comments how cute and
well socialized she is. The groomer was one of the first to comment, noting that
she is so compliant for grooming (not that it or baths are her favorite
thing!). She was house-trained easily (once that little bladder got big enough
to make her not need to go out every other minute!), and other than just a bit
of chewing (which is now much improved) she's been a pleasure! We just adore
her!
Attached are some photos so you can see the girl. Thank you again for the gift
of this dog!

Hello!
I was thinking the other day that I hadn’t shared any photos of Iggy with you since we brought her home in Oct/09. She has just been the best dog. People actually stop us on the street and ask about her because she’s truly the cutest dog ever. She’s coming up on 9 months old now and I believe she is at her full size (she’s only 7.5 lbs). We love her so much! We are also in an advanced training class now and Iggy is doing very well. She will sit, lie down, stand all from a distance. She stays until you release her and for a little dog she even heels quite well. She does some tricks like shake and sits up pretty, but she does better with learning commands than tricks. To date, she has never ever pottied in my house and uses the dog door now on a regular basis (that took a little due diligence on my part to get her to use it).. I have started to leave her at home by herself for short periods of time to see how she does.. All is going well there too. Most of the time when I come home she is sleeping in her kennel – Good Dog! We have a big yard and she chooses to be outside on nice days – chasing squirrels or just lying in the sun. She is quite the little digger, especially when it rains and the ground is soft, but she’s a dog and if that’s the worst thing she does then I’m happy to let her dig a little. At least she digs in the same spot. We had some trouble getting her to eat when she was small now that she’s older she will eat ANYTHING – last night I dropped a piece of tomato and lettuce on the floor and she gobbled it right up.. Our vet says she’s picture perfect health and they all love her.. I’ve been having her groomed about every 6 weeks – it’s just easier to keep her clean when her hair is short.
I am about to have my first baby in July so it will be interesting to see how Iggy adjusts. Any suggestions? I feel like she will do just fine once the initial shock of a screaming baby is past… I’ve introduced her to lots of small children and she is a bit timid around them – even though they have been super gentle in petting her. She’s not scared of any adults and she works to get everyone’s attention no matter where she is.. We go to the dog park several times a week with a little small dog group and we are a member of Boulder Small Dog Meetup which has been great! I also take her to Cottonwood kennels on days when it’s yucky outside to play with other dogs (it’s only $10 for half a day).. I find that she needs a good walk or to socialize most days or she’s restless and not sure what to do with her energy..
Attached are some pics of our little princess.

Hi! Bandit is adjusting well. He learned where his water dish was, right
off the bat. And when he hears the sound of his dish, he runs by his water and
sits. Bandit is the most precious little guy. He just started doing his sneak
attack on his daddy, but gives his mommy kisses. The other day there was a jack
rabbit under the tree and Bandit saw him and ran to the front door. He's
visiting in Phoenix and just loves the grass. Sometimes he says he has to go
potty, but he just wants to play in the grass. He's met all the grandkids I
have, but no one is allowed to hold him. I just feel that he is to fragile, to
be held by kids. So they can pet him, when I'm holding him only. And all the
kids are fine with that. Bandit is doing great on crate training, he's now only
getting up twice in a night. The little guy is a early riser, like clock work
he's up by 6a.m. and goes to bed for the night by 8p.m.

Hi
Pam, took some birthday pictures of Ruffles. A couple of the pictures were taken
last October at a women’s retreat I facilitated. In Estes Park. Ruffles was the
soother for many of the women.
I thought she looked just like one of the stuffed animals in that shot. My
grandson, Cory (he came with me to pick her up), had been playing with the
stuffed animals and when he got off the bed, Ruffles jumped up and laid down
with them.
Hope you are doing well, peace, Kerrie

Auntie Pam, tell my mommy that I'm in Chino Valley. My new mom couldn't wait,
so my aunt and uncle brought me to Las Vegas, NM. on Sunday. They were sending
video's and pictures to my new mommy and she just couldn't wait any longer. My
mommy and daddy came up on Saturday night and stayed at a hotel that was created
in 1882. We stayed and had lunch and them made the journey home to my new
house. My house is cool and mommy is showing me one room at a time. I'm
getting use to the outside, and seen my first rabbit and it scared me. There's 3
acres to play on, but mommy says that I can't go that far, unless I'm with her.
She had a big, big area fenced in for me, my property is all fenced in, but
mommy says I have to play in this area. Daddy is my big chew toy, I love chewing
on him! I meant my great-grandparents Sunday night, they live on five acres,
right behind mommy and daddy. I'm eating very well and playing a lot. I've
been such and good boy, I've only been potting outside, mommy is so good about
taking me outside. Tell mommy that I'm so happy that I have a new mommy and
daddy. Mommy says to me all the time, that I'm her little prince.
Good
morning Pam, Well, it doesn’t seem possible but Ruffles is going to be 1 soon!!
(March 26) I have her vet appointment already set up. The question I have is
when do I change her dry food from puppy food? And to what? She stays right
around 9 pounds and is such a sweetie. I can’t tell you how many people comment
on her and I give you all the credit for being such a great breeder and knowing
so much about your dogs.
Peace, Kerrie
Kerrie - stay with the Nutri Source, just switch to the adult small bites - Pam
I adopted Suzie about a month ago and wanted
to tell you that she is an absolute delight. We get along great and she is the
center of attention. Thanks again
Sherry - I have had 3 dogs from you. Your puppies are so cute but I want the whole world to know that as adults they are gorgeous too. I'll send photos the next time I get them groomed. My first dog I got in 1994 - that was Heidi. I loved her until her death which was 12/28/07. Now I have Hannah Bannana, a Shih Chon who is 3, and Harlie a Maltese, who is about 12 and still going strong. They keep me going every day, and as you know, my health is not good, so they give me back life every day. Heidi was my teacher for Hannah as she taught her how to behave and be housebroke. She taught Hannah to sit by the door until I could put her out. I absolutely adored Heidi and miss her, but Harlie and Hannah have kept me going since her loss. Heidi would know when I was not well and kept me aware of things. She was my pre-alarm for my epilipsy and always right there when I would wake up and lick me like she knew something was wrong. Anyway, I want everyone to know what a great breeder you are and how I love my dogs from you. VickyJo of Scottsbluff

Hi
my name is shelby. I purchased a shichon from you about three years ago now. His
name is Champ, and I am just thrilled with him. He is so much fun to be around.
He's full of energy, but also knows when its time to calm down and let us relax.
He's best friends with my two year old nephew, and couldn't behave better around
him. My nephew loves giving him carrots (his favorite treat), and Champ just
brings so much laughter to this household. We also have two labradors, and they
all get along great. At first it was a hard adjustment because he was so small
compared to the other dogs, and didnt realize that he was so much smaller. I
guess he has a pretty bad case of Big- little dog syndrome haha. Just wanted to
thank you for providing me with such a loving dog, and wish you the best in the
future 2/02/2010
I
wanted to let you know that "Gail" is doing great! She is such a good,
easy puppy and she is eating well and doing great with her housetraining
- even letting us know when she has to go out! Now if only we could all
agree on a new name for her...

Hi Pam,
Yesterday was Sunshine's birthday and we had much fun celebrating. Funny, she
doesn't seem to like it when I sing, she barks and barks. Everyone is a critic.
Anyway, Sunshine is three now and doing very well. Her little sister, Pepper,
is also doing great and is as bouncy and feisty as ever.
We added a Maltese to the family last spring and Yassy (Yas means snow in
Navaho) has learned that the girls are the boss but he keeps trying to pick on
his sisters. They all have great fun pouncing, bouncing, patrolling, and
playing tug of war with their toys. You know that what ever someone else has is
better.
I have attached three pictures. The Holiday picture with all three dogs,
Sunny's romp in the snow, and Pepper eating snow (what we call Puppy Ice
Cream).
