Hi Ladies!   Lexi is such a great puppy and we absolutely love her to death.  She loves to snuggle and smother us with puppy kisses.  She just makes us laugh all of the time as she's quite the little comedian.  Our other two "senior" Shih Tzu's are pretty fond of her also.  They play with her often and she mothers them at times as if she was the "senior".  She's still only 7 pounds at 7 months so we're pretty sure she's gong to stay petite  Thanks so much for this little sweetie!!!  We will email new pictures soon.

Pam,

Hello!  I wanted to write to give you an update about Cowboy -- he's doing great.  Litter box training is going really well too.  I am cross-training him so he goes outside if I want him to, but also goes in his litter box if I don't take him outside.  He is about 4 months old now, and I am still feeding him a 1/4 cup of Eagle Puppy food three times a day.  I am also adding a teaspoon of soft food only to his breakfast, otherwise I just give him the straight dry food for lunch and dinner.

When should I start to feed him only twice a day?  Once a day?  And when you feed them less times throughout the day, how much do you usually feed him?   Should I remain on the Eagle "puppy" food?  What should I move to adult "dog" food?

I will try to send you some photos of Cowboy too.  He's been a wonderful blessing.  He has the temperment and disposition I was hoping to have as well.  He is still definitely a puppy and has major spurts of energy at times, but he is more mellow than hyper.  My parents have fallen in love with him as well.  My mom may be coming to you some time in the next 6 months to get her Bichon, so you aren't rid of us yet!  ;-)

By the way, I brought Cowboy up to the nursing home where Nancy works -- Nancy is the other gal in Sheridan who purchased a Bichon from Fuzzy-Pups.  She got a girl and the mother is the same mother as Cowboy's mother -- Misty.  Nancy's Bichon is almost a year old now, so she is a bit bigger and more developed than Cowboy.  They play, and played, and played . . . . it was great fun to watch.  They absolutely loved playing with each other and hit it off immediately.

Thanks for your help!  I hope all is well at fuzzy-pups!

Anna

A: puppy will probably ignor lunch somewhere around 6-9 months of age, at that time eliminate lunch and feed 2 x day for rest of life.  Dependent on size, usually 1/3 - 1/2 cup Eagle 2 x day with some mix-in is fine.  The bag itself will give you the proper intake.  We usually transition to the Eagle Original small bites around a year old.  Do so by mixing 1/2 puppy with the Original bites to transition into the adult over a period of a few weeks.     Pam

Hi Pam,

Thlis is Fran from MA.   We named our new pup Roxie.  She has been doing very well.  I thought you might want to see some pics of Roxie. It took a long time to get her, but she is well worth it! Thanks for the tips yesterday. I gave her a bit of pumpkin with her food and by today, she had regular BMs. I gave her a bath and you could see that she felt so much better.

 I can't tell you how cute and good she is. She loves to eat, is very playful  and sleeps through the night. She really has not been out of the house yet, but has been very friendly to everyone who has come to visit.

Thanks again to you and Sherry for all the patient phone calls that you had with me as we were trying to get all this worked out.

Hi Pam,

I thought you might want to see how the puppy is growing - she's just adorable!  I'm so happy to have her.  She's sweet and quiet and almost no accidents with housetraining.  I've named her Bubba (may have told you that) - I always thought it would be fun to have a fluffy little girlie dog named Bubba.  If Sherry has e-mail, could you share this with her, please?

I hope you're having a great holiday and Happy New Year, too!

Take care,
Stephanie

 Pam,

Is it possible to love a dog TOO MUCH?

Every time we look at our new little girl, our hearts practically break.  She is utterly delightful.

We only have to look AT her (doing nothing) to just assume a goofy grin; but then she does something silly, or clever, or adorable, and we are blown away!  Gee, I wonder what she will be like when the "shyness" wears off and she takes over the household???

Thank you, and Sherry for giving us so much joy!

Hi Pam!

I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that things are going well. We are the family that picked up the male shih tzu last Friday night in the snow storm. He has been such a joy! We've named him Asher. The potty training is marginal. He's been wonderful, though, and we love him so much. We'll take him to the vet tomorrow for his well check. Thanks!

Hi you guys,

      It's been awhile since I have written.  (John and Amber Reid, I Flew out from Utah to pick up Bella)  I just wanted you to know how much we love and enjoy her.  She just had her first birthday.  She weighs 11 lbs.  I can't believe how smart she is.  I also have a Boxer,  I didn't realize small dogs could be so smart.  She was a 100% potty trained at the age of 6 months.  She means so much to me, and my family.  Her and Bruno (my Boxer) get along so well.  I don't know what either would do without each other.  Bruno still lets her do what ever she wants.  I will send you pictures soon, you have to see how cute she is.  Bella goes to the groomer every two weeks.  She is definitely well taken care of and loved....

Thanks again,
John and Amber Reid

Hi Pam,
We are LOVING the new puppy.  He's perfect for our family.  We especially like his temperment - quiet & mellow & cuddley.  His new name is Kona and so far no accidents in the house!!  He also sleeps through the night.  Thank you so much for letting us have him.

Thank you again!!!

Pam,

The excitment of the puppy ( Esmeralda) has filled the whole house with joy on Friday Nov 9th but turned to devastation by 6:30 PM the same night as she bolted out of the arms of Amanda our daughter sitting on the back porch with her. We all looked in the darkness for 2 hours but to no avail. Since we live in the country so to speak without tiny fences our hopes deminished rather quickly and knowing we have bobcats, mountain lions and other animals that would make a dessert of her our hearts just broke. We left the porch light on just incase she would come to the light. Well about 12AM we could hear her whinning and was around the house but she was so spooked she just kept running away from us and this continued thru the night and we knew at 5AM she was still alive but again still unable to get her. At day light we went out again to no avail and put posters up for our subdivision to help us.

We saw her again about 12:30 PM on Saturday but the more we went to get her the further she would go and  everyone in the area tried to have her come to them. As that  eveing approached she was seen at the very end of the area and of course we got the call but to no avail again and darkness was setting in as our hope deminished again as knowing this little puppy had no food nor water and the dangers of other animals would make her their prey we we heart broken again. As we cried ourselfs to sleep we just had to let go and pray that by some miracle she would be alive and around in the morning.

Sunday 12:30 AM I was awaken  buy my husband all he said is you won't believe this and aked me to come with him I asked it Esmeralda was in the squirrel trap we had set but no she was"t but in the window well. Oh my God she was alive but looked very tired she was checked over and found no obvious injuries . Knowing she must be dehydrated and hungry she was give some water but only allowed it slowly to be taken  as the early morning continued she drank more and more ate her yogurt and slept soundly after brushing and bathing the last 2 nights away.  She stayed within our arms as she would not let us put her down and has not left our sides since. Hence  she was given  the name Gyspy which she reponds  nicely to.  At her Vet check was found to be healthy, happy and very loving. She was groomed and below I hope  her picture will be included.  Gypsy is bringing so much pleasure to this house and is an extra special blessing in our lives we feel we had someone above protecting her. What a smart puppy !!!!!!
Thank you,
 Marcia Merle Amanda

Hi Pam,

I had to write and tell you how much we love our Shih Chon Fuzzypup Daisy (formerly Goldie) that we adopted on August 11, 2007.  She has been the greatest addition to our family.  She is lively, sweet, and has the greatest nature!  All the kids in the neighborhood just love her.  Her favorite activity is to walk to the bus stop each morning and afternoon to greet the kids as they wait for the bus.  She loves people and other dogs.  We couldn't ask for a better dog!  Every year we send Halloween pictures to friends and family.  This year, Daisy joined in the fun by dressing up as a little witchy like our two girls.

Happy Holidays!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings from two of your 'kids'.  I wanted to send you and Sherry a couple of pictures of the girls I just took.  The puppies are doing well with each other.  They run and play and try to rip every toy in half tugging at them.  Of course what ever the other has is better.
Chilli Pepper is catching up in size quickly to Sunshine.  Sunny is holding steady at 9 lbs 1 oz at 10 months and Pepper is now tipping the scales at 6 lbs 8 ozs at 4 months.  I have a feeling who is in charge may change soon.
They just came back from the salon in these pics.  Pepper's first trip.  These pretty girls celebrated by rolling in leaves.  An appropriate puppy thing to do.
Sunshine is keeping a lot of the Bichon sillyness and continues to "buzz" around the house at least twice a day.  Pepper has a lot more of her mother in her both in her coloring and expression, but also in her temperment.  She is more apt to walk around commenting on if anything is out of place and is able to focus more when having a task to do. What is funny is they have some personal habits that just come from Teddy, their Daddy.  They sleep in exactly the same position all of the time.  They really only like their left ear scratched.   They love to lick the bottom of feet (not toes, not tops, not sides) even though I can't stand it.
I'll send more pictures later.  I hope you have a nice Holiday Season and the Renovations continue to go well.
I brought Mags to the vet today and he was really impressed.  She was
soooo good while he examined her , while he trimmed her nails, and
shaved her little anal area.  I worked with her on a leash this morning
and she was like a bucking bronco!  Whoa, she did not like it at first,
but as the day wore on, she seemed more comfortable.  I will try again
tomorrow, etc. because I would like to start taking her for walks around
the block.  We just love her more and more each day and I hope she is as
happy as we are!
Thanks,
Julie &Magnolia Blossom from Louisianna
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here are a couple of pictures of Miss Magnolia Blossom "Mags" upon her
arrival at our home.  Her "sister", Hayley, is holding her in the second
picture.  Mags is having soooo much fun running in the grass and chasing
tennis balls.  Of course she is very advanced and is sleeping through
the night so far.  She is doing very well with her housebreaking
routine, only one accident as of yet.  We are keeping a very close eye
on her!  She found some sand and rolled around in it with her dewy wet
fur so she had her first bath this morning and did great!  She was
introduced to the new sounds of the housekeeper ....washing machine,
dryer, vacuum...and was fine after we "introduced" them to her and
visited a while!

WE are going to see the vet for her check so I will let you know how
that goes!

Thank you so much!  We are having so much fun.

Hi Pam,

I just thought I would take a moment to catch you up on Skye's development. Right now she is looking at the front storm door, watching the neighborhood going by. I've attached a photo taken a couple of weeks ago of Skye and one of her favorite toys. She is losing puppy teeth and getting in her adult teeth; all the canines are gone (can't say I miss them terribly). We've been in training for four weeks and she now comes when you call her name, she sits, waits. She knows the command "leave it" and this week we are working on watch, stay and roll over. Our trainer Barrie (of Mindful Dog Training her in town) is wonderful with Skye and we are having a good time learning.

Skye went to work with me from July until through the first week of September; now we have a puppy sitter that comes in everyday at noon and spends time playing, pottying and feeding Skye (not particularly in that order). She has made the adjustment well and is one happy puppy. We both, of course, love the weekends. So far she has been to Rocky Mountain National Park, Summit County and Wyoming with more trips planned. She's completely housetrained as well.

She has the run of the house (well, bedroom doors are closed) when I'm home and she is really enjoying the steps, the couches, the chairs.

Again, I can't thank you enough for Skye - I have not laughed this much in my life! Take care and we'll report back later.

Good evening Pam,

We would like to thank you for the wonderful dog. We have decided to name him Goliath for his giant personality. He has been very busy this weekend with my mom in town and being around both of my daughters children Dana who you met and her brother Aaron. It is amazing how good natured he is. He has never barked or snapped at any one. He also was fine with their big dog.

We do have a couple questions though:

1) Do you house train them because he has not had one accident in the house yet. He always lets us know and goes outside. He is very very smart! (we follow our own instructions found on the website.  It works!)
2) What type of shampoo and how often can we bath him?  (we like the Crazy Dog brand - any flavor.  Makes them smell nice and gives a soft coat)

Also, we are very excited that he slept the first two nights in his crate with nothing more than a slight whimper. I do have the crate right next to my bed so I talk to him until he is a sleep. He is eating well also. Today he did not eat this morning but by this evening he was carrying his bowl around which was so funny.

Again, thanks for the most fabulous dog ever. It looks like my mom might be interested in getting one of them some time soon.

Kind regards
Randy Kessler

Hi Pam,

Just looking at your website and enjoying all the pictures!  Lance and I adopted Rudy from you in January 2002 - he was born 11/18/01, and has been just the best dog ever!  He is happy and healthy and loves chasing birds.  Is his Mom Maggie still with you?  (yep! and still on a diet lol) We never make it to the picnics because we are so far North from you (Thornton), but wanted to let you know that he is just wonderful.  Our 10 year old daughter Talia loves him, as we all do.  He is truly a Mama's boy - follows me all over the house.  He loves when people come to the door, certain that they are here just to see him.  He is such a sweet and loving dog - we can't imagine life without him!  If I remember right, someone there had named him Spike when he was born, and he's registered as Talia's Little Rudy.

Hope all is well there - we are truly thankful that we have Rudy in our lives!

I recently lost my Bichon Frise, Libby to Cushing's Disease after having had her for 13 years.  Needless to say, there's a huge hole in my heart right now and I can't imagine life without her.  But I would like to share my love with another Bichon.

I visited your kennel about 3 years ago when my friend, JoAnne Carlsen and her husband, Mark were in my same situation.  They lost their Mandi after 15 years and were interested in adopting.  They found a little treasure that day and named her Chloe and she is the apple of their eye and spoiled rotten, I might add!  They also took me to your Bichon picnic this summer and we had a ball!  What adorable, sweet (and healthy) dogs you breed!

I was so impressed with your commitment to breeding Bichons responsibly that I couldn't imagine adopting a baby from anyone but you.

I saw on your website that you will have tiny tots available at the end of the month, but I would really like the standard size Bichon, so I wondered if you will have any litters coming up and if I could add my name to the waiting list.

Thanks for any information you can share with me, Pam.

Pam,
Hey, long time now write.  I'm writing now for two reasons. First and foremost to let you know that Sunny (Good Morning Sunshine -  the little girl from Wondering Wanda's little of January 2007) is doing well and causing all sorts of ruckus in the house.  She is absolutely a laugh.  She tells stories, likes to run very fast so her ears fly back, steal sox (especially grandpas when we go visit them in Canon City so he will chase her and yell "You little farmer"), and most fun of all play chase and be chased with the kitties in the house.  She has a strange facination with licking toes but is just as happy giving hugs and having her belly rubbed, thus her unofficial name Belly Baby.

The second reason I'm writing is because she still hasn't taught the kitties how to play like a dog and I've been trying to explain to her that isn't going to happen, but she is pretty determined.  This has let to a number if time where she has been soundly smacked on the head.  Good thing the cats are declawed and she has a thick skull. While I'm concerned about brain damage she is desperate for a friend. I'm wondering about your advice on introducing another puppy at this time given that you are having a discount.  She is now 7 month (today!!), 9 lbs, and can be a bit stubborn but is generally very good natured.  I'm not completely committed to the idea but I've been looking at Tia, Bernie, and one of the gold mask girls.  Any feedback will be helpful.  I'm going to talk with my Uncle (favorite Vet) but I also want your perspective given your experience with these little folks and knowledge of the specific personalities.

Thanks and I hope all is going well with the plans!!

Hi Pam!

Everything is going great with our new puppy "Ginger".  We absolutely love her!  She is truly the sweetest puppy we've ever known.  The boys adore her and she is so patient and loving with them.

The true love story here is between Ginger and Jesse.  It was love at first sight!  They are constantly together playing or sleeping.  The two of them are pretty lazy during the day and become crazy dogs at night.  Jesse looks like he has a smile on his face all the time.  It is too cute!

Ginger is quite the popular girl on the street.  All the neighborhood kids want to come over to play with her.  They are itching to walk her, but can't of course, until she gets all her shots, so they walk Jesse instead and poor Ginger waits at the door for her beloved to return.  The funny thing is, he doesn't want to go with out her!

We thank you so much for such an awesome little girl.  We couldn't of asked for more!  She is the most loving and beautiful puppy ever.  All of us love her!  We will keep you posted as she grows up.  Here are a couple of pictures.  One is of the boys in Ginger's kennel.

Sincerely,

Dana, David, Jacob and Austin Gould

  Pam,
Thank you so much for "bunny" (we have named her Layla).   She has been the best little puppy and everyone falls in love with her.  She has a very cute personality-very loving and fun, but not too yappy.  She also is a very good snuggler and will sit in your lap for hours if you let her.  She is doing pretty good with potty training-still has accidents but I am sure she will have it down in another month.  Her coat is very pretty and dries nice and fluffy after a bath.  I really like that it is not too curly but still is soft and fluffy.  She really is exactly what I wanted and I can't imagine it without her.  I will send another email with more pictures.  Thanks,

Caprice and Layla   Texas

Hi Pam and Sherry,

Just wanted to follow up with you on the Winston's/Donny's diet. I have
started the diet that you left on my voicemail. Although it is too early to
tell, he did not have an accident in the house yesterday! Baby steps...:)
Other than that he is coming along just fine, and has been nothing but a
blessing:)

Below, or attached, is a picture of Winston/Donny, with his best friend
Jack, another one of your babies. My neighbor, "Argie" is another one of
your babies, and is not in the picture. Just thought you might enjoy to see
how he looks now:)

Thank you again, I will keep you updated on our baby:)

Hi.  Just  thought you may be wondering how Casey is doing.  He is a wonderful dog.  I think he is beginning to settle into his surroundings.  He is exploring and playing more.  He is incredibly sweet and absolutely loves the children.

He talks to me from his kennel when we go to bed at night after I turn out the lights, but then settles in and now sleeps seven or eight hours.  As soon as he senses the sun coming up and the bedroom getting lighter he lets me know its time to move.

My sixteen year old and I took him errand running last night and then made a trip to the park.  He was a bit overwhelmed and just sat in the grass and observed for a good five minutes and then started chasing us.  Then the fun began.

We love his personality.  I never thought I would like any breed as much as a poodle, but this little boy is wonderful.  We are "sold" on the bichon breed.  Casey, Emily, my nine year old and I start training classes on Monday night.

Thank you for such a lovely dog!  Janice Moore

Hi Pam,

We are celebrating Bijou's birthday today since it has been 4 years today since I brought her home!

She is quite happy with apartment living, but I do wish I could let her loose in the yard to run (I do sometimes when the staff is gone!).  She goes many places with me, but had to stay with my daughter in the country near here when I was in the Denver area for surgery in May.  When I went back to Denver for a checkup in June she had a sleep over at Kathy's house (her groomer).  She and Kathy love each other and she has full run of Kathy's house when she is there.  She also has a playmate there since Kathy raises Shar-Peis.

She is still a marvelous dog.  We are active in Heeling Friends and visit the hospital and nursing homes regularly where she has many admirers.  Have you seen the specials on TV about Kandu?  He is the Jack Russell who has no front legs.  He and his people are also in the Heeling Friends organization.

I hope all is well with you and your family, two and four legged.  Maybe one of these years we can make the picnic.

Hi Pam,

We picked up these boys Easter weekend and wanted to send you an update.  Of course they are wonderful and we love them.  Levi “the Lover” left the Get Away a shy 6 month old and he has just turned out to be the most incredible dog.  He is a great older brother for Duke II and is still “the Lover”.  Duke II is a rowdy one and tries to keep up physically with Levi.  Levi has some bigger genes in him and weighs in at 12 pounds, we call him Tank.  Attached is a recent photo after they visited the beauty salon.

As always, in love with our Shi-Chons.  Best!!

We adopted "Berry's Girl" almost 3 years ago.  We want to bring her back to visit.  Wondering if we missed the annual picnic or when that is...

We came up with the name Cotton because she's so fluffy while like cotton. My kids then added Candy to that so....he name is Cotton Candy.  She couldn't be more loved or adored.  My kids STILL fight over who "gets" her.  She is pretty small but I wouldn't say tiny tiny.  She weighs about 14lbs.  She's pretty fluffy so it's hard to tell until she gets groomed and I get her cut short sometimes.  Then she looks like a different doggie.  She is the best behaved dog ever.  We need to spend time actually training her to sit and shake and that sort of thing.  She would be easy to train I bet.  She listens and obeys so well.  We also have a rabit and occasionally we let him run around the back yard.  Cotton does the natural thing and starts to chase.  I only have to tell her once to stop and that angel will just lay there and watch the rabbit run by.  Now that is discipline.  That has got to be hard for a doggie to do.  I love her to pieces.  We'll come see you soon.

Hi Pam, Heather and Sherry,

Just thought I'd drop a quick note to you with one quick photo to let you know how our first day has gone. Skye is perfect. She fits in perfect, we went out one time during the night, she's playful, fun and is loving being an only child. For the last hour, she has been lounging in the kitchen in her bed on her back - bet that's something you really can't do with brothers and sisters waiting to pounce. I haven't laughed so much in the last three months as I have in the last 24 hours. She slept all the way home yesterday (I landed up holding her in the backseat because the harness I bought didn't really fit - I've remedied that). She's headed off to work with me in the morning and she will have lots of visitors. She has quickly learned the phrase "Will do anything for chicken". I boiled some chicken breasts up yesterday and she's hooked. We've also got green beans for a treat.

I didn't get the opportunity yesterday to tell you all thank you for allowing me to adopt one of your babies, but THANK YOU. I'm loving it already as I knew I would. I know that not all days are perfect with new babies but that's OK. Enjoy the perfect ones you get and I guarantee you I'll enjoy the other ones as well. All I can think of when I look at her is I can't believe I'm this fortunate again. Thank you all and we'll keep you apprised.

Hi!
Wanted to write a quick note and tell you how much fun Gizmo (we call her gizzy) is.  She is a great puppy very calm and loves city life.  She is the cutes dog by far in NYC and I can not get down one block without some stopping me!  She is 95% on the wee wee pad, but for some reason she is scared to death to go outside in the city. I am going to try to bring the used wee wee pad outside and see if it works.  We let her run around the apt when we are home and she is in the crate only for a few hours a day.  She only chews her toys and is so cute she lies with her little head on a pillow like she is a person.  We go to the vet again next week and i am sure she already gained a few pounds.  For some reason the vet seems to think she is going to be 13 pounds.  I said that you all thought she would be around 7 or 8, whatever she grows to be is fine with us.

Have a good 4th of July!
Zoe

Dear Pam,   Oh, how we love our new little Bichon.  We named her "Cassie Smart" and she has brought pure joy to our home.  We have had her 1.5 weeks now and she has settled in nicely.    Cassie is eating well and manages to "hit" the "piddle pad" over 50% of the time.  She is smart, warm and cuddly.  She loves to play and take naps with Larry.   Our lives for many years have been very difficult.  Larry is recovering from a bone marrow transplant to help fight his terminal cancer.  A rare bone marrow cancer and lukemia.  There was little joy or laughs.   Oh, how our world has changed!   Larry is in remission and this little bundle has been a true gift to us.  Thank you Pam, for spending so much time with us and leading us to our darling Cassie.  We are forever grateful  XO  :-)   We'll keep in touch, and will let you know of her progress.

   Dear Pam & Kenny,   Thank you so much, once again, for bringing 2 dogs to my house to play.  We now have 2 wonderful dogs and we never would have believed that the brown dog would be enjoyed so much by Astro!  Astro's tail has not stopped wagging.  He is a great puppy.  We are waiting for our kids to name him.     Diane Witonsky --- Littleton, CO

Hi Pam:
I wanted to let you know that Spencer Bradley received his well check and
booster vaccinations today.  He is a healthy little boy.  So far he has been
a saint.  He didn't skip a beat with his meals, no diarrhea or anything.
The vet was a bit surprised that he was already neutered.  However, it seems
like he faired the operation fine.  He did want me to ask you if you had any
paperwork regarding the neutering.  I have to bring something to the town to
have him registered and he isn't sure if your description of Spencer will be
enough.  Let me know if you have anything.

Lastly, the only time he makes a peep is when we put him down in his crate.
He cries and cries.  We know this is temporary but just wondered how long
you think it might last.  Is there anything we can do to make his crate seem
more like home instead of confinement?

Thanks again, we LOVE him.

Pam,
Hope all is well with you. Just wanted to give you an update on Abby, our wonderful Bichon adopted from you in late March. It is hard to believe she is 5 months old already. At 20 weeks old she weighed 6.5 lbs. and was 7" tall - our Vet says she is healthy and doing great. Abby graduated from puppy class with honors. In fact, she learned the basic level skills so quickly that during the last few weeks of class we started working on intermediate level skills! She loves to lay on her back and play with toys that squeaky, chase balls and bring them back to us, and give "kisses." Abby is a delight and "all personality" sure fits her. We though you might like a couple of pictures taken in the last week. Don't let the pink sweater fool you - yes, she is absolutely adorable, however, the other picture really captured her energetic playful side. Here she is helping with the laundry. What you don't see in the picture is sneaky Abby running off with socks - one look at her smile tells you what she is thinking! Abby has brought such joy to our lives - thank you again Pam for everything you did to help us. We'll keep in touch.

Hi Pam!
We are so tickled with our new puppy!  Wickett is so good with him.  His name is Teebo - another Ewok from the movie.  Teebo is said to be Wickett's best friend!  How perfect for our two dogs! All is going well - we've only had one accident in the house.  He sleeps through the night in his crate with no problem - We got him Thursday, so he has slept through 3 nights!

I will send some photos this week when I get them all downloaded into the computer.

I think my friend Diane is interested in his brother.  She has another dog from you that she bought right after we bought Izzy - so, she may be calling to look at him this week.  They are going to be gone for most of July though and I think that may be a concern.

Thanks again for a great puppy!  Pictures will come soon!

Hello Pam, Sheri, Heather,

Jack been with us for 24 hours now and he is doing great.  His plane ride home was uneventful, thank goodness.  I arrived at the airport about 3 hours before my departure and we found our gate and hung out.  I let him out on a potty pad that was big and let him get out and play with me on it.  He slept the entire 1:45 minute flight.  When Matt and the girls picked me up they held him until we got home, which is only about 15 minutes and then we played on the grass.  He was so happy and playing with all of us.  He didn’t eat anything until this morning, I was a little worried, but he has his appetite today.  We played with him until about 9:15 and then he was ready to sleep.  The girls sleep by him last night and we didn’t hear a peep out of him until 4:15 and we took him outside and he took care of business and came back in.  He’s doing great today; happy, playful, wagging his tail when he see’s any of us.

I went by Kennel Care by myself today with the sheet I received from you Pam to schedule his next appointment.  When I talked to them over the phone, they weren’t sure what shots he needed so I just went in to give them that sheet.  They were going to call you to make sure they understood what I had brought them in so there weren’t any misunderstandings with when and what he has had.  So, I scheduled his next appt for July 3rd.

Thank you all of you for your input and time talking on the phone, getting pictures to us, and letting us visit.  We are blessed to have all of you in our lives and look forward to keeping in touch.

Dear Pam and Heather,
Just wanted to drop you a note with an update on Zoe.
She is WONDERFUL!!!  I have spent 12 solid days with her one on one and introduced her to my parents dogs.  Now that I'm back at work, my mom has keeping her up at their house....my mom said "I don't want to jinx anything, but I think Zoe may be the perfect dog"!!!  She is sooo much fun, has sooo much personality and is (so far) doing great with house breaking.... only 1 accident in house and it was a poopy..easy to clean!!! she sleeps snuggled up with me at night and sleeps through the whole night!!!!  She is more than I could've ever imagined!!!  she helps me with yard work and doesn't even complain!!
I took her to my vet last wed. and she weighed 3.2 pounds, she has "unfolded" since then and seems like doubled in size!!!  it's great just watching her mature.  She is sooooo smart and has sooooo much personality...it's hard to take her away from my parents every evening!!!  So, she is getting a load of attention and loves every minute of it... she's spoiled, spoiled, spoiled...but that's the purpose!!!
Anywho, I'm sending a couple of pics, and you'll laugh out loud when you see the one of her in her pink bed.
thank you sooo much, she is truly a god-send!!!

Pam,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for introducing Bichons to our family.  We adopted Jack from you 3 years ago.  He is the mellowest guy, constantly looking for love.  We adopted Midge(tiny tot) in January.  She is a strapping 6lbs.  Jack and Midge act like an old married couple.  They must be together at all times.  Both dogs make our family complete.  Keep breading such great dogs!

Hi Pam and Sherry,

We wanted to let you know that Goldberg is doing well. I’ve tried to e-mail photos but I think the file is too large.  I will send pics through US mail.

As I’m sure you hear from all your puppy parents, we love him! His face is so cute that even when he is not on his best behavior I can’t be angry with him. Sunday he disappeared for awhile and was very quiet. Just like a child – that’s never a good sign. He’s a digger and I found the bathroom floor covered with rubber backing and carpet strings from the rug. He looked at us with his big brown innocent eyes, of course the carpet strings hanging from his whiskers were a dead give away. I couldn’t help but laugh.

He is a smart little guy and doing well in puppy class. He is using the litter box 95% of the time.

I can’t wait to take him to MO to meet the rest of my family. They get weekly pictures or videos of him, but until they hold him and feel how soft he is they can’t imagine how truly loveable he is.

Take care,

Amy Smith

Hello:

We adopted a wonderful Shih Tzu puppy from you this fall! She is such a friendly and social puppy and we can’t imagine our house without her. We would love to adopt another Shih Tzu from you and we have seen Ariel puppy on your website;

Thank you,

Pam
Just wanted to send you pictures of the wonderful puppy we adopted from you on 3/10/07.  We named her Maggie and she is doing great.  I have included a picture of her when she first came home and the most recent one right after she went to the "beauty salon" for her first haircut.  As you can see she has made herself right at home and seems quite happy here.  (cant say the same for our 18 year old cat who has her nose quite out of joint about the new family member - cat now makes her home under our bed-even though Maggie never bothered her at all).
Maggie makes a hit wherever I go with her.  She is very friendly and so cute everyone makes a real fuss over her.
She's doing well in puppy class - she was a bit timid the first 2 classes but now seems to be coming out of her "shell" and playing well with the other dogs.
Thanks again for the wonderful addition to our family.  We tell everyone what great dogs and nice place you have.
Debbi and Jeff
Ps the vet said she was in great health and said I made his day when I took her for her first visit - he had to go and show her off to everyone.

Dear Pam,
I wanted to write and say thank you again for our little puppy--Luci.  She
is fun and playful and her and Chuco are like best friends.  It was a smart
thing to get Chuco a partner because he seems happier too.
I also wanted to ask if I could I list you as the primary care person should
any thing happen to my husband and I.  We travel a lot together, and as much
as I don't like thinking about it, any thing could happen to us.
I don't trust any one other than you to rescue Chuco and Luci and find them
the best and loving home.  I would hope they would go to the same owner--so
that they can always be together.

Sincerly,
Rosita Hillard

Parker was the shy and mellow bichon frise we adopted from you 1 day before Easter. I just wanted to send you some pics of him and tell you how he was doing.
Well, the first 3 days Parker didn't eat, drink or even move. He laid in a coner away from everyone. Once in a while he would test the waters by standing up and looking around.
Wow! what a difference a week and a half makes.
 As of today Parker loves to play in the back yard with the kids.He loves chasing them around. He's eating and drinking great. He is doing great with potty training. This little doggy is not the same doggy we picked up a week in a half ago. He is warming up so much. At night he loves to sit on mommy and daddy's bed and get brushed and have a bone.
Thank You so much for Parker. He is such a wonderful addition to our family. Can't  wait to see you at the picnic.
The Karpunin's

**Note from us** When the puppies get older and are unplaced, they are sometimes shy with strangers. We knew this "kid" would blossom once he adjusted to his new home!  And are so glad to hear we were right!  So, if you are hesitating about an older puppy, think again!

Hi Pam, This is Shelby.  I adopted a Tiny Tot Bichon from you in December and we are overjoyed at how perfect he is for us.  He is so consistent with his piddle pads and it is wonderful that he is using them.   Thanks for all your help!

Hi,

I am in California with the Terrana's and their daughter, Skylar, wanted to send a picture of Oliver to Lola.  Everyone who meets Oliver falls in love with him.  Plus, Tony never stops talking about how proud he is of Oliver and wants to show him off.   So this is an email for Lola to meet her new friend Oliver.  We are all very excited to meet her in Boston!
Best,

This is the beautifully behaved little puppy girl that everyone
believes is a little angel all the time. Here is proof that she "has
her moments." At 5 months old she is truly a toddler. In five minutes
(possibly less), she managed to get into this much trouble. We have
now fenced off what appears to be her favorite corner of the yard.
All four paws were muddy and so was her underbelly.If I hadn't been
laughing so hard, I'd have been really mad. She wasn't too happy
about the bath we gave her afterwards. Other than this incident, she
truly is a very well behaved puppy.
I was having SUCH a good time, and then mommy stepped on my leash.

I really don't know what the big deal is.

'Just wanted to send the latest photo of Brie.  Today she is showing
off the Kyrgyz felt carpet we bought for my husband's office.  The
felt is made the old fashioned way and all in natural colors.  But I
think it is Brie who really shines!  She made the long trip here to
Central Asia in good form though she still has jet lag.  It's
Saturday afternoon and time for a long walk on the dirty streets of
Bishkek and then the usual bath that follows.

Thanks again for bringing Brie into my life.  She's a treasure.

Hi Pam!
We were wondering about the Bichon picnic this summer and if it is happening.  I don't see it on your website (which we visit often to take a look at new puppies!)
We have moved from Steamboat to Ft. Collins, the very winter that Ft. Collins has had record snow fall in over 100 years!  Go figure....
Anyway, we are still thinking of getting another puppy.  Lucky is truely the love of our lives, he is the most amazing dog I could have ever dreamed of!!!!!!!  I love him so much. I'm always thinking that a sister puppy would be so nice for him, although we really love having just him.  What are your thoughts on adding one to our family and the age Lucky should be?  (he is now a little over 2 years)     We also were thinking we wanted another puppy from Teddy so they would be half siblings, are there any litters in his future of regular sized Bichons?
Thanks, and everyone we meet here in Ft. Collins thinks that Lucky is the most beautiful Bichon they have seen!  There are so many Bichons here, people always want to know where I got him.   Lucky loves his new life here and we have a sweet little backyard for him and the house is wonderful.  He looks forward to his walk to the school everyday to pick up the girls.  In fact, he goes to the front door everyday at the same time and waits for me to get it all together to head out, even before I mention we are going!
He is such a wonderful  little guy, I just can't believe he is real!
We will talk to you soon,
Linda Walsh

Here are some pictures of Danny and Daisy, our totally bonded babies. They are treasures!

We received your pet registration form, and thank you for that. Daisy was spayed last week and is doing great, except that the stitches are driving her nuts. Had to put the collar on her, and Danny thinks she is from Mars. Just 5 more days of the nonsense.

We love our babies so much. They have never NOT slept through the night, all curled up together. Danny is laid back and ready for bed around 7. Daisy is always ready to stay up until the last minute, but settles down as soon as they are in their new see-through crate beside our bed.

They are doing great on the housebreaking. I would say Daisy about 85%, Danny 65%. We are so glad we got the two of them...........they are hilarious together, keep each other company when we are gone, and entertain us all day long.

Daisy weighs 9 pounds 1 ounce, Danny 9 pounds 5 ounces, so he has moved ahead! at last. Most adorable dogs we've ever had, and we can't thank you enough for your patience in letting us play with them before we made the decision. More pictures later!

Fondly, Betsy and Carl Schiller

In the fall of 05 we got one of Muffin and Ceasar's pups from you, a little girl that we named KOKO.  She has been such an amazing dog that has brought an unbelievable amount of love and joy to our family.  She loves everyone and is about the best puppy we could have asked for.

You had asked us to send some pictures of her when she got older because folks wanted to know what the full growns look like.  Well here are a couple for you.  Also I attached the picture you sent us from when we bought her, she is the one on the far right.

Thanks again for the amazing puppy you have no idea what a joy she has brought to our lives and our family.

Pam,

We wanted to send you a picture of Maxie.  She had a rough start, but is thriving now.  She is so fun and well behaved.  At the vet yesterday,  we ran into another Shih Chon dog from Fuzzypups, so Maxie got to see a (maybe) relative!  Although, the owner wasn't sure who the parents of his dog were. What were the chances of that??!!

Thanks for all of your help and support early on.  It was much appreciated.

Thanks,

  Hello Pam and Sherri,

Thought you would enjoy these pictures of Bella (My little princess) with
her brother Bruno.  They get along GREAT!  Sometimes I feel bad for Bruno because he lets her
get away with murder.  She bites his ankles, takes his bone right out of his
mouth. And all he does is look at me.  I tell him "Sisters"

She has adjusted to our family so well.  She sleeps through the night. Potty
training is going well, I'm very consistent.  I only work two days a week,
so on those days I found a doggy day care for her. (vet recommended)
They only allow 30 lbs or under, there are a lot of Bichons and Shih-Tzu's
there, I think Bella really loves it.   There are small little couches and chairs they get to lay on, and when it's
nap time they play classical music.   They take good care of her.

I would like to thank you so much for my sweet girl. Pam her personality is
exactly like you said, which I appreciate the honesty.  She is very sure of
herself and very loving also.  I have already passed out a business card of yours and I'm sure there will
be a lot more I will be passing out.

Sincerely, Amber and John Reid,  Draper, Utah

Thank you so much for our new super tiny tot, HoneyBelle--she is super adorable. As you predicted, she was a perfect angel on the plane--went right to sleep in her bag without a peep. She has been sleeping through the night from the get-go, is a good little eater, and follows Toto around like, well, a puppy dog! The two of them are sooo cute together! He was wary of her for about half a day, now they cuddle and play and frolic. While he's standing she stands underneath him and swipes at his tail! We can't handle any more cuteness in this apartment!

Thanks again and looking forward to the next time,
Patty - Canada

Hi Sherry & Pam,

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much in love we are with our newest family member, Phuzz.   Phuzz was born to Gwen and Petey on September 27, 2006.  I knew that we would love him a lot, but I really, really, really adore & love him more everyday and just want to protect him forever.  Thank you so much for being who you are and letting Arnold and I adopt a wonderful furbaby.   Phuzz has really rounded out our family, although our cat, Tabitha, is still warming up to him.
Here are a couple of pictures of our little fella.

Hi, Pam,

Just wanted to let you know that Potter is doing well. He's such a love and a wonderful pet. He just got used to leash walking, and we've had a few fun walks around our neighborhood. He really likes his crate and slept through the night the last couple of nights. He's a good boy - loving and sweet and such fun! Matthew and I really enjoy him; he's a cutie! Here are a few pictures for you. I love the close-up. :-)  Also, we'd like to get a girl Shih Chon around June. Can you put us on the waiting list, or should I remind you as we get closer to June?

Thanks again.

Hi Pam!

How are you? It's been awhile since I sent an email but I wanted to give you an update on Coconut. She's doing great!! We just love her so much and she's adapted wonderfully to our family. She gets along well with young and old alike and has a great time with my parent's Old English Sheepdog.

Hi Pam,

Guess you are probably having quite a white Christmas.  Just wanted to update you with a couple of photos of the girls.  They are getting along so well.  We can't imagine having just one now.  Totally opposite personalities, but both are the best.  Maggie is more curious and seems to want to be the protector.  Marlee is more on the timid side and really doesn't give a rip what is going on.  She travels well when we go to our place in AZ.  Sleeps the entire five hours, while Maggie is busy watching and checking everything out.  They both are really good now about telling you when they have to go out too.  Marlee has actually been the voice for Maggie if I don't hear Maggie ring the bell, which she does a little too well, Marlee will come to me with a high pitched bark, different then her regular play bark as if to tell me Maggie needs to go out.  So this having 2 dogs has definitely helped with the potty training! I don't think they could be without each other.  Hmmmmmm.......wonder what having 3 would be like?  Just kidding!  Seriously, thanks again for such wonderful puppies, now 9 and 7 months old. I tell everyone who asks me about them, if they want a puppy with the best personality to check out Fuzzypups.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dear Pam,

    I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that "Jasper" is doing great.  He is (a Shih Chon) from the Gwen and Petey Morgan litter.  He is such a sweetheart.  He took to the litter pan with a pee pad in it, right away!  He has been eating just fine.  He loves going to work with us everyday.  He sleeps a lot because of the huge waterfalls running at work.  The fountains are very relaxing.  So he sleeps while I give massages.  I hope you don't mind that I sent so many pictures.  We are just so happy to have him as a part of our family.  You and Sherry are wonderful and I will recommend you to everyone.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  Take care and I will keep you updated.

Hi Pam!  Just thought I'd give you an update on our Bichon puppy "Scooter" whom we purchased from you back in June.  He has turned out to be THE BEST DOG- he is everything we had hoped for and more!  He is a playful, sweet, affectionate little cream puff (though not without puppy antics) and we are madly in love with him.  He was completely house broken at about 5 months.  We put in a doggy door with his own special little doggy deck.  Having him as a member of our family has literally changed our lives for the better, especially for our 5 year old daughter Katrina.  He's doing great and I think he's a very happy (and pampered) pup. I've attached a photo of Scooter with our daughter (dressed up as a Bichon for Halloween, of course) and our 660 pound pumpkin we grew this year.  Thanks again for providing us with a high quality pup who is obviously healthy and true to his breed!

Hi Pam,

I am not sure if you would remember me but I bought one of your babies (Shih Chon) last August.  I have been so busy and more than a whole year has gone by me.

I have to tell you that my puppy "Smoochy" I'm positive has to be unique and dare I say the best puppy you ever had.  She is so unbelievable!! She is  pure "LOVE"  not a bad bone in this dogs body.  I can not begin to describe to you how much I love my Smoochy.

She is so sweet and lovable.  Always with the ball in her mouth, always wants to play yet she will cuddle up too.  She has added so much to my life.  I think I told you that I couldn't have children because I had cancer, well this dog made it all ok for me.  I wouldn't trade her for 10 children.  Life works out sometimes.

Even though I don't have any children, smoochy is always around kids, all the neighbors knock on my door so they can play with her, she loves kids.

I sent some pictures to you, to see for yourself how good she has got it.    She loves her sister Oreos the cockapoo.  The only problem I have it is hard not to show favoritism towards smoochy.  This dog and I have such a bond, it is difficult and I think that my other dog senses it.  I try to show them both the same amount of love but that little smoochy just steals the show.

By the way.  I was having trouble with her runny eyes but I finally found a great product it is called Angel eyes.  It is like magic.  You can see the difference in my pictures.

My best friend is thinking about visiting Colorado to buy a what we call "a smoochy dog".   I told her to get in touch with you.

Hi Pam ,

Toby is doing great ! He is now 5 months old . He is still  timid around strangers and needs his time to get to know them . With friends and family he is a cuddle bug - very playful and so sweet. He is also still shy around bigger dogs but enjoys playing with toy breeds .

We just got him a brother - a 1,5 Jear old Lhasa Apso from the Humane Society . The boys are getting along very well! They play and wrestle all day long and seem to enjoy each so much . It was the best thing we could have done - we can't imagine a life with just one dog any more .
I will never understand why most owners seem to prefer female dogs - I am so glad we picked two boys ! They are just so sweet and loving - always cheerful and happy and just so cuddely.

Toby's potty training is going along well . We take him out every couple of hours to eliminate acidents- we are working at ringing the bell but so far without success.
He grew a lot during the last few months and got groomed twice- once at the groomers ( he behaved like an angle they said) and once by me ( no problem). He is very athletic and can run like the wind . He loves the snow - he goes nuts about it and loves cold weather . We had to buy him a jacket because the snow will stick to his fur . He does not mind clothes at all as long as he can be in strong wind and snow and jump head first in the next snow pile.
He is the most easy to care for puppy you can imagine - he does not chew on forbidden objects , he tollerates grooming , he is not a picky eater ,he does not even destroy his own toys , he walks nicely on a lead, he loves to be snuggled and he becomes a complete floppy cozy doll when he is tired .
He also learned to come, sit, down ,fast down ,wait, heel  - he is doing great in puppy obedience ! There is just one command he will not yet follow - "stay"- he want's to be with me all the time and will not lay somewhere alone when he can be with mommy .

We are so happy with our boys and Toby is definitely our Baby . He is still all puppy with a face to fall in love with . We are getting compliments all the time how cute he is .

I am sending you a couple of recent pictures -

Toby, Eddie ,Dan and Nicolette

HiPam,

It's been awhile, and I finally got a couple shots of the girls - when I could get them standing still for a couple minutes.  First pic was taken in Arizona after running themselves silly.  They love to travel!  Second is their Halloween do.

Maggie is now 7 mo's. and Marlee is a week shy of 5 mo's.  They both couldn't be better dispostioned pups, but TOTALLY different personalities.  Maggie is definitely more relaxed and just melts when you pick her up.  Marlee is more on guard.  Not as floppy when you pick her up.  Maybe it has something to do with the "dominant," "submissive," roles in the dog pack they play, who knows, but we are having a ball with both of them.  Honestly, I can't imagine not having 2 now. They follow each other everywhere, sleep on each other, groom each other and bite on each other. Haven't taught Marlee yet how to ring the bell to go out, but Maggie does it all the time.  I think even when she doesn't need to go out.  If we ignore her, she practically knocks it off the door.  Maggie has got potty training pretty much down, Marlee is getting there.  I don't think she will be quite as big as Maggie.  She's more petite.  Maggie is solid.  They both can dance now.  They compete on who can do the most rotations.  I think Maggie is up to 3 now!

Anyway, wanted to share an update with you.  Let me know if the pics came across ok. Please let Sherry know also what great pups these are.  :)

  Hey Pam

We just wanted to say thanks for Patch. Fern will email you no doubt in the near future with updates and photos.  We have only had to bang our heads with the rolled up newspaper a few times but are getting trained by patch all the time. The kids are sticking to the contract I made them sign and cleaning up after him too.  He has met most of the kids on stonegate who came by and played in our backyard at the weekend with him. They all think he is adorable. He is already walking on his leash to school (that is ok isn’t it before his final Vaccination). He sleeps right through the night in his crate until 6:30am. He did cry at the start of the first night so just like new parents we worried that maybe he needed to go outside but after getting out and wanting to play we soon got wise to that. Now he curls up and goes to straight to sleep.  He misses the children when they are at school and sits in his bed by my desk.  We all think he is adorable, and like I say I am sure Fern will keep you updated.

Pam,
I just wanted to update you on the progress of my little shichon.  Her name is Emmy because I won the "Emmy" award for this little one.  I can't believe how smart she is.  Yesterday was her 1st accident free day but leading up to that she had 3 days of only one accident each day.  She learned to use the doggie door by the end of her 1st week and goes tearing outdoors.
We've completed 2 puppy classes and she's learned to sit and down.  During socializing time, she thinks it's to socialize with the people and not the dogs!!
I was so afraid of getting a puppy because I worried about the housebreaking but with your helpful tips and a well bred puppy, this has been so easy.
Thanks you

    I am happy to report that Jazzee has not had an "incident" for two days now.  It must have been a nervous habit.  He is using the pee pads all  the time for all his bathroom needs.  He only misses a little bit when he's too close to the edge so we put two pads together and that seemed to take care of it.  It is so funny to see the difference in their personalities.  Just like Sherry said, Jewel-lee is such a little "valley girl" and he is somewhat aloof.  He is so sweet though, just turns into a little "statue" when you hold him.  He's getting more comfortable now and will even let us hold him on his back and scratch his tummy or chest.  He is also responding to his name  very well, so we are encouraged about that.
    He is so good about not getting up at night to go to the bathroom.  We make sure he goes  before he goes to bed and then he doesn't go again until he's in on the pee pad the next morning.  I have only been able to find these pee pads at Petsmart, but I would recommend them to any of the adoptive parents who are  training their puppies on them.  They are the "Nature's Miracle" pee pads and the puppies just want to use them.
    Hope all is well!  You have some darling puppies on the availability list and I am sure they will all find very loving homes soon.  I would adopt them all if I could!!!!!

Hi Pam,

Just wanted to send you an updated picture of Maggie after her first hair cut.  They said she was the best puppy they have ever done.  However, we did take her back the next day for a beard trimming. We thought it was a left a little too long.  She's as cute as a button, and getting cuter everyday.  She knows how to sit and shake on command now. Since she's had her last series of shots, she's ready to start an obedience class now.  She's 10 pounds, long and trim. We have a cute dog store here called "Le Woof."  They have the cutest things and bake all their dog treats on site.  It smells heavenly.  In fact, the "banana woofers," are very tasty treats.  Yes, I had to try one.  Tastes like unsweetened banana bread.  Maggie was a hit with the owners too!  Anyway, just wanted to drop a line and let you know how things were going.  Still not 100% with the potty training, but getting there.  She's pretty good with the potty pads, but I'd like to see her go to the door on her own instead of me taking her every few hours.  If I wait, she just goes on the pads.  I guess that's good, but I'd eventually like to get rid of them.  We'll keep working on it.    Thanks again for a sweet dog!

Pam, Just wanted to update you on Tono.  He is "THE LOVE OF OUR LIVES" to say the very least.  He brings love, sunshine, giggles, snuggles, and great joy to us each and every day.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Margaret & Darryl

Hi Pam,

Finally got my son to put all the pictures on a CD for me.

I will have to tell you choosing between the two puppies was very hard.  Sherry was right, they have identical personalities, both very friendly and loving.

The 2-hr flight home was great.  She pretty much did not stay in her travel bag, but rather on my lap with a blanket hiding her for the first 1/2 of the flight, then on the floor with a potty pad underneath.  She slept the entire way.  When we arrived home, she whinned as she followed us around getting use to her new surroundings, maybe because it was all so new and no other puppies around like she was use to.  She slept in her crate next to our bed, and woke up only once to go outside.  By the end of the next day she was pretty comfortable and exploring on her own. It's been a little over a month since we picked up Maggie Mae (from Sheldon/Marnee).  She has been an absolute joy!  Potty training is going well and when we don't make it outside, because we miss the "signs," she gets the idea of the potty pads really well.

She is developing quite a personality too!  She loves to be with people, but likes her alone time just as much.  She has a huge basket of toys and plays with every one!  She especially likes the "squeeky" toys and has pretty much broke every squeeky because of her sharp little teeth.  Doesn't matter to her though.  We watch her as she tries to hide her chew toys in different corners of the house and then use her nose as if she is scooping dirt over them like she's burying them.  Too funny!  She FRAPS (frequent random acts of play) at night right before bed to wear herself out by running laps around the house, sometimes sliding on the tile.  We get the biggest kick out of it.

She's already been in the pool too!  She likes to be on a float with someone, and even sticks her head under the water for the longest time.  I think she wants to be a scuba dog!   I can't wait to get her groomed, but need to wait until her last series of shots.  She is getting so fluffy.  I brush her almost everyday and she is getting better at sitting still while I do.  I think she thought it was a game at first.

Anyway, thank you for such a loving, happy dog who gets along great with everyone in the family - especially my youngest.  He was a little leary at first with handling another puppy after the episode with our Lhasa, but Maggie took to him right away, and he's not afraid to pick her up or pet her.  She loves on him like crazy!

I've attached a few pictures - at the airport, where she crashed when we got home (and still likes to wrap herself around your neck when you are sitting down), and sunning herself by the pool - no she's not spoiled at all!

I'll send you another picture after her 1st grooming in a few weeks!  Take care.

Pam,
Hi.  We've been meaning to thank you again for MuShoo (Shih Tzu of Dickens & Stacey).  We're absolutely loving him.  He's awesome with all three of our kids, including our two year old.  He's been to school many times as well as almost every morning to the busstop where he gets mobbed.  And he's incredibly tolerant through it all.  We couldn't ask for a nicer puppy.  I'm attaching two pics - one of him not long after we brought him home and one at almost 6 mos(after a haircut that took a lot of his black!) with our toddler.

Hi Pam and Sherry,
Just a quick note to let you know that Shanti is amazing!  We'll send recent pics soon (this is one from a few weeks ago).  She's now four months old and has a super personality!  She's my 'baby' (boo-boo for short), and Dad loves her like she was a baby daughter.

She's been a handful, but we are trying to housebreak her still (she's about 50-50).  She adores her toys, and love to play frisbee.  I do have a question about her size.  She's already 7 pounds, and the vet says should could go to 15 pounds.  I anticipated that she would only get to be 10 pounds or less, per your info.  Is there a way you can better tell what size the pups will be?

Take care, and thank you,
Kelly and Dan Russell
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hi Pam,
Well it's been just about 2 weeks, and thought I'd give you an update.  We picked Maggie up on May 27th, and boy it was a tough decision, as both puppies were so loving.  When we got back to the airport, if I said it once, I said it 100 times, "She's a Shihchon, a mix of Shih-Tzu and Bichon."  Everyone was so taken by her.  She was so good while we waited for our flight.  She actually sat on my lap 1/2 the way home with a blanket over her.  Shhhhh.......  The last 1/2 she laid on a "pee pad" by my feet, and never moved.
When we got home she whinned and followed me everywhere.  I think she was missing her siblings.  I didn't know how she would do that night, but with the crate next to our bed and my husband sleeping next to her with his arm in the crate, she did great.  She only woke up twice, briefly.  As soon as I petted her she went back to sleep.  She has not whinned since.  She had her vet appointment that following Tuesday, weight in at 5.9 lbs and was perfect!
She was getting up 2 times during the night to go pee, but now, only once.  I pick up her food and water after dinner.  I may give her a little water if she's been running around a lot before bed, which she loves to do!  She's up anywhere between 5-6 to go to the bathroom, and then lays with us for 1/2 hour before we get up to start the day.
Potty training is going, well, it's going.  Sometimes I don't catch her in time, but I have a pee pad by the door and if I don't, she is mastering that.  She tends to pee more in the evening then during the day.  But for only being here 2 weeks, I think she is doing great!  I have a bell on my other door, and she actually went to it and bumped it with her nose for the first time today.  I thought it was a fluke, but she did it a couple of times, so we went outside and she got a treat.  I think she is a smart little dog.
She is very playful and has sharp little teeth.  My youngest (who was bit by the Lhapsa was a little scared at first).  I had to tell him this was play, not aggression.  They get along great.  In fact, she loves everyone.  She is usually under my chair while I'm working. She also isn't afraid of anything!  She was running up the stairs the 3rd day I think!
I think she has grown a lot in the last 2 weeks.  I have a couple pictures I will send as soon as I can get my son to upload them to my computer.
Thank you for such a loving happy little puppy
Love, Sherry Frager  & Maggie Mae - California
Hello ladies.  My name's Stacy Hite.  I adopted one of your lovely bichon
pups last year.  She's from your Jan '05 litter and we named her Bella.  She
has been the best addition to our family.  We absolutely love her and have
meant to send you pics and an update for over a year now.  :)
Bella is happy and healthy.  She's received all her check ups, etc. on time,
was spayed last summer, and successfully completed an obdience class last
fall.  She's soooo smart and full of love.  The only place she's "lacking"
is that she's NOT the Princess I had hoped for.  She loves to dig in the
dirt, roll in the mud, and take the 4x4 trails on hikes!  We have standing
appointments twice a month at the groomers, not counting at home care!  She
LOVES children, especially little girls.  Pictures I sent are of our
granddaughter and goddaughter who visit often.  Bella thinks she's one of
them.  If Bella sees a little girl in public, she thinks the child is
suppose to play with her.  It's sooo cute.  She does get jealous of our
granddaughter, and I have to make sure I share my time and attention
accordingly.  :)  She's definitely been a great family dog.  I could go on
and on, but will not take up your time!  Thank you so much for Bella.
Hello, Pam and Sherry!
We’ve named our man in black Cash, after Johnny.  Johnny was on the radio when we got in the car when we left your place, Pam.  Then, every few miles on E470 we’d see the signs saying “Cash” for the toll boths.  We are absolutely in love.  He is a delight.  He’s adjusting to life here very well.  You were right, Sherry.  This one is very smart. Very few accidents – none in his crate.  He lets us know when he needs to go, and he does his business.  He goes to bed with us around 10pm, is up about 3am, then again around 5:30am  He does go back to bed after those trips.  Today was his first day without us.  Luckily, the neighbor girls are out of school and they came over every two hours to let him out and play with him until I got home at 3pm. He was quite upset, they said, when they left him, but fortunately, he’s not alone for long.
Thanks for this wonderful addition to our family.  He’s an absolute doll.  Marty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hi Pam, I have been wanting to write you and send a picture, we are enjoying Riley so much!  He gets his first grooming on Tuesday, then I will send a picture (he's a little shaggy dog right now).  I need to make reservations for Aug.2-7.  We have a family reunion in Iowa and I think it would be too much for my little guy, he would have more fun at your place.   I took him in for shots yesterday, and he had a reaction to the rabies vac.  He got very restless and swelling on his face, we was given Benadryl, and is bouncing right back, my vet is terrific, and she'll be calling this morning to see how he is doing.  Riley has been doing great....a little clown!   We love him so much and boy, is he growing...9 lbs. and my vet thinks he'll be twice that (do you?)    I love the website, I like to check in on the new letters and pictures, and like I said I will add to it when he is all pretty on Tuesday!  Let me know about the reservation, I have a vet tech that could take him, but I'd rather come to you....Thanks, Julie Stine  05-26-06

Hi Pam,

I wanted to thank you again for Roscoe.  He is wonderful.  Emily and I fell in love with him right away.  The three of us had a great time yesterday.  We took him to Petsmart and everyone kept stopping by to tell us what a beautiful puppy he was.  He has fit right in.  Emily cried this morning when we had to leave.  She wanted her puppy.  After my surgery Friday, I will be home for about 10 days and he will be spoiled rotten, if not before then.

Hi Pam,

Thank you so much for our precious little Shih Chon, Oscar, born 11-04-05!!!  He is the sweetest, most loving little dog we have ever had.  Needless to say, our whole family  simply adores him!!!!  He loves everyone, especially children.   He loves to play with our small grandchildren.  We thought they would wear him out; but it usually ends up that they are crashed on the floor and he is still rearing to go.   He gets loads of attention everywhere we go.  People always stop us to ask about his breed and tell us how cute he is.  His potty training went very well.  He has not had an accident in the house for a long time now and is very reliable about letting us know when he needs to go out.

We are attaching a couple of pictures of him at 6 months old after a trip to the groomers.  As you can see, one of his endearing qualities is his little ear that always flips inside out.   Thank you again for such a wonderful addition to our family.

Sincerely,

Bob and Cheryl Ferrari

Hi Pam!

I have been meaning to email you some photos of Milo on his 4th birthday for a while.  He is still doing great and is the love of our lives.  We are always saying that he has us both wrapped around his little paw.  People still ask us if he is a puppy because he still has so much energy.  He loves to play but also now loves to curl up in his bed, that is if we are willing to sit with him…   the minute we leave the room, he has to follow!   He always wants to be the center of the action!  We are hoping to get him started in agility classes soon.

Anyway, here are a couple photos of Milo on his birthday - wearing a green ribbon of course for St. Patrick's Day.  Take care and hope all is well with you and all your puppies !

Hi Pam!  Our little Jewel-lee is recuperating from her spay/hernia/dewclaw surgery and is doing just great!  She is such a trooper!!!  She just had her surgery on Friday, the 5th.  She weighed in at 5'6" just before her surgery.  Her only annoyance seems to be the neon green wrap bandages on her hind legs which will come off on Wednesday.  We will try to get more pictures to you soon!
The whole family and extended family just think she is the cutest, most wonderful dog in the world and she knows it.  Look forward to the picnic - hoping to make it!!!

Hi!  I got a Shichon from you in December of 2003.  I’m not sure if you remember.  I live in Austin, TX and we had so much trouble getting a good weather day to fly him down here.  He was the last in the litter, does not have pigment around his eyes, is almost all white and it VERY laid back.  Well, I LOVE him to death and wanted to talk to you about getting another puppy...Jackson has the best laid back attitude and is loved by anyone he meets!  He is truly the best dog!  Also, my mom would like to get one from the same litter.

During the 5 days my dad was home with hospice (Dec 24th-Dec 28th) he was unconscious and we set up a hospital bed and put a twin roll away next to it.  We had over 20 family members in town and sleeping wherever they could in our house.  Someone was constantly laying in that twin bed and no matter who it was, Jackson would cuddle with them.  He was the best therapy dog!  He was a HUGE comfort to my mother and me through the whole process.  Even if someone wanted to get out of the house for a few minutes they could take him on a walk (I think he had about 20 walks a day that week!).  He knew something wasn’t right and he was trying his hardest to comfort all of us in our time of need.  I really don’t think my mother and I could have kept sane if it wasn’t for him to cuddle and love on.  How could someone not want one of these precious babies?!

I  attached a couple pictures of Jackson all grown up (that’s my cat Andre hanging out with him). J

Thanks –

Hope you two are well and happy.

Pam,
Maggie and I want to thank you for everything.  PENNY [our new addition] is so precious and so amazing.  Everything went smoothly last night--no whining and no whimpering and no diarrhea.  She is everything we hoped for and more [MUCH MUCH MORE!!].  Like everyone one of our family members said, PENNY was dealt a lucky hand. . .because she's got two new parents who love her very
much!!  So with that said Pam, we wanted to extend our gratitude for helping us out in this entire process.  We'll keep you posted.  Take care.

We just wanted to let you know we have an Angel sent from heaven. "Gracie" (you used to call her firefly because of the white tip on her black tail) is such a wonderful puppy. The first night we brought her home I woke up all night expecting to take her out. Wouldn't you know it she slept thru! She till this day at 4 months old she goes all night without asking to go out.  She's doing very well with housetraining. She's excellent with all of our children and is always gentle with our 10 month old twins.  She's gone thru puppy training and her instructor and classmates were floored with her calm gentle demeanor. The class was really a waste of time because she already knew how to sit, stay etc. While all of the other puppies ran around like maniacs and Gracie (at the time 3 months old) watched them like the were a bunch of immature nuts.  She no longer sleeps in a crate but in bed with us. She's learning to dance and already is trained to wave. She's just a pleasure to have in our family. One of the things we love about her is the Bichon head tilt she does regularly. Its just adorable. Thanks again for our furbaby.

We are so happy with our new addition to our family.  Katie (Shi-chon) is so much fun.  Lizzie (Shih-Tzu) gets along so well with her and to our surprise we checked Lizzie's Pedigree and found that Katie and Lizzie have the same father, Staret's Ceasin Those Stars.  So they truly are sisters!

Katie is a little more of a challenge, then Lizzie was, when it comes to potty training but seems to be catching on slowly but surely.
But what a personality she has, she has been so much fun.  Lizzie and her have become great buddies, and keep each other company all day long.

Thank you once again for your love and care of Katie & Lizzie as a puppies.  I know that is why we have such wonderful girls.

My son and daughter-in-law also adopted Molly who's Katie's sister and feel the same way.  She has given my daughter-in-law a lot of comfort while my son has been deployed to Iraq.

Here is some of our recent pictures of the sisters.  Aren't they cute!    3-28-06

Dear Pam and Sherry,

Last year I adopted Beau (Shih Chon) and brought him to the desert in Arizona. That was his first plane ride and he has earned his "wings" this year flying on four more trips with me.  He is a great traveler (no sedatives for him) and companion.

Tomorrow he will be 1 year old!  I can't tell you what joy he has brought me.  He has such a wonderful personality and loves to cuddle.  He has adopted my neighbor (his Auntie Lei) and seems to have enough love to give that neither of us feel left out.

Continue your good work.  I only wish my life style permitted me to adopt another Shih Chon as I would have a house full.

 Hi Auntie Pam.  We just wanted to send a picture of "The Duke".  He is about a year and a half old now and just a blessing to our family.  He graduated from his crate at 1 and now sleeps on the bed at night (he sleeps longer than us) and wanders the house when we are gone .. without incident, never any potty accidents.  He is such a good, good puppy.  I think he thinks he is a cat though.  The attached picture is from his favorite resting spot on the back of the couch.  When we come home from town that is usually where he is waiting for us.  So friendly and smart, loves treats, races around the house like lightning, is so good with the kids and loves his naps.  We love "The Duke".  His nicknames are Dewey, Louie, Chewy, and Gooey. He likes to carry the boys socks arou
